Wagner's Songbird Banquet Wild Bird Food 5 lb Bag (2-Pack) — Sunflower & Nut Mix, High-Energy

Bring more feathered visitors to your feeders with a premium mix designed for variety and nutrition. Wagner's Songbird Banquet blends black oil sunflower, striped sunflower, peanuts, safflower, and assorted tree nuts into a single formula aimed at encouraging frequent visits from cardinals, chickadees, jays, and many other colorful songbirds. Each ingredient is chosen to deliver fats and proteins birds need for energy without artificial fillers.

What makes this blend attractive to so many different songbirds?

The combination of black oil and striped sunflower seeds plus nuts appeals to both small and large-beaked species. High-oil sunflower seeds are easy for small birds to crack and provide concentrated calories, while peanuts and tree nuts give larger birds a satisfying, energy-rich option. This variety helps create a stable feeding spot that supports year-round activity at your feeder.

• Black oil sunflower for high energy and wide appeal
• Striped sunflower for larger-beak birds and added variety
• Peanuts and tree nuts to attract jays, cardinals, and grosbeaks
• Safflower to diversify flavors and reduce wasteful husks

How should I offer this food to get the best results?

Use a variety of feeder types—platform, tube with large ports, or hopper feeders—to suit the different seed and nut sizes in the mix. Place feeders in a sheltered spot near shrubs or trees so birds feel safe and have quick access to cover. Keep feeders clean and replenished to encourage regular visits and to prevent mold or spoilage.

• Use tray, hopper, or wide-port tube feeders for mixed-size ingredients
• Position feeders near natural cover (5–15 feet from trees/shrubs)
• Replace stale or wet seed promptly and clean feeders monthly

When will I notice more birds at my yard after switching to Songbird Banquet?

Many yard owners see increased activity within days as local birds discover the new food source, though patterns depend on local populations and season. During migration or colder months, energy-rich seeds and nuts can lead to particularly noticeable visits. Consistent refills and a stable feeding routine will keep birds returning regularly.

• Some visitors appear within 24–72 hours of a fresh offering
• Peak activity often during migration and winter months
• Regular refills encourage repeat visits and territory establishment

It’s especially suited for those who want a single, convenient blend that satisfies a broad mix of species without buying separate seed types.
