Wholesome Harvest Goat Feed 16% Protein Non-GMO All-Grain — 10 lb Bag, Fortified with Vitamins & Minerals

Wholesome Harvest Non-GMO All-Grain Goat Feed is a 16% protein, fortified all-grain formula designed to support growth, strong bones, and healthy digestion in goats using natural ingredients and essential vitamins and minerals.

This 10 lb bag of Wholesome Harvest goat feed blends non-GMO whole grains with added goat-specific minerals and vitamins to deliver balanced nutrition for growing kids, performance does, and maintenance needs. The recipe focuses on digestible energy, moderate protein, and trace nutrients rather than medicated additives, making it suitable as a primary grain ration or as a supplement to pasture and forage. Each batch is formulated to complement hay and browse and to be simple for producers and hobby farmers to feed reliably.

What nutrients are included and how do they support my herd?

The feed supplies 16% crude protein and a targeted mix of minerals and vitamins selected for caprine needs. Protein supports tissue development and milk production while minerals like calcium, phosphorus, and trace elements contribute to skeletal health and metabolic function.

• 16% crude protein from non-GMO grain sources for growth and maintenance
• Fortified with goat minerals including calcium and phosphorus for bone strength
• Added vitamins A, D, and E for overall health and immune support
• Balanced trace elements (zinc, copper, selenium) for metabolic function

How should I feed this 16% formula to different classes of goats?

Feeding rate depends on age, production stage, and available forage. Use this all-grain feed as a daily supplement to hay and pasture rather than a sole ration; adjust amounts for kids, does in lactation, and maintenance animals to match energy and protein needs.

• Kids: offer small, frequent portions to support steady growth while still nursing
• Lactating does: increase grain amount to meet higher energy and protein demands
• Maintenance: moderate daily portions to prevent excess weight gain
• Always provide free-choice clean water and trace mineral salt as needed

Is this feed non-GMO and what natural ingredients are used?

Yes — the formula is built from non-GMO all-grain components and avoids artificial growth promoters. Ingredients emphasize recognizable grains and botanicals that aid palatability and digestion without proprietary chemical additives.

• Non-GMO whole grains as primary energy and protein sources
• Natural binders and flavoring to encourage consistent intake
• Added probiotics or fiber sources to support healthy digestion
• No medicated antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones included

How should I store and handle the 10 lb bag for best quality?

Keep the feed in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to preserve nutrient quality and prevent mold. Reseal the bag after each use or transfer contents to an airtight container; follow FIFO stock rotation if storing multiple bags.

• Store off the ground on pallets or shelving to deter pests
• Use within manufacturer-recommended timeframe for freshness
• Inspect for moisture, mold, or unusual odors before feeding
• Keep away from livestock not intended to consume this formulation
