Wild Delight Advanced Formula Squirrel Away Zero Waste Wild Bird Food 5 lb — Chili‑Treated, Low‑Hull Seed

Wild Delight Advanced Formula Squirrel Away Zero Waste Wild Bird Food is a 5 lb spicy, no‑waste seed blend designed to feed colorful wild birds while discouraging squirrels.

This specially mixed outdoor bird seed combines premium ingredients without fillers like corn, milo, or millet, and includes chili pepper to make the seed unappealing to squirrels while remaining safe and palatable for birds. The zero‑waste concept helps keep feeders and yards cleaner by reducing shells and debris. It’s made for backyard birders who want attractive, nutritious feed that minimizes mess and nuisance pests.

How does this formula keep squirrels away without harming birds?

The formula uses capsaicin from chili peppers as a natural deterrent; birds lack the receptors that make capsaicin hot, so they feed normally while mammals like squirrels find the taste unpleasant. The seed coating is calibrated so the spice affects pests but won’t reduce the seed’s appeal to finches, cardinals, chickadees, and other common backyard species. No toxic chemicals or poisons are used—just a taste deterrent combined with seed choices that birds prefer.

• Chili pepper ingredient provides a taste barrier for mammals.
• Bird-safe capsaicin application that preserves seed flavor for birds.
• No poisons or harmful additives—safe for outdoor feeding when used as directed.

Will this reduce yard mess and seed waste?

Yes. The zero‑waste blend is formulated to minimize hulls, husks, and uneaten seed that typically fall below feeders. Less debris means fewer cleanup chores and a tidier feeding area that’s less likely to attract rodents. The ingredient mix favors high-nutrition seeds birds eat completely rather than discard.

• Low-hull seeds reduce scattered shells beneath feeders.
• Less dropped seed means fewer rodents and less yard cleanup.
• Concentrated nutrition so birds consume more and waste less.

Which birds are attracted to this Advanced Formula blend?

The blend targets colorful backyard species that favor high-protein seeds—think cardinals, chickadees, titmice, grosbeaks, and many finches. Because it omits common filler grains like corn and millet, it tends to attract species that prefer premium seeds. Gardeners can expect more concentrated visits from desirable songbirds rather than generalist feeders.

• Designed for cardinals, finches, chickadees, and similar songbirds.
• No milo or corn, which often attract less-desired species.
• Premium ingredients encourage repeat visits from colorful birds.

How should I use this seed to get the best results?

Use the seed in feeders elevated off the ground and located in visible, sheltered spots near cover so birds feel safe feeding. Refill smaller feeders frequently to keep seed fresh and reduce spoilage; check feeders for buildup and clean periodically. Paired with squirrel‑resistant feeder designs, this formula is most effective at reducing pest visits.

• Place feeders 4–6 feet off the ground and near shrubs or trees for cover.
• Choose squirrel‑resistant feeders to amplify the deterrent effect.
• Refill in smaller batches to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
