Packaged for long-term storage with a resealable zipper and clear planting instructions, this one-ounce packet is aimed at gardeners who want high germination, easy-to-grow plants and a quick, dramatic display. The seeds are open-pollinated and sourced in the USA, offering predictable traits season after season for seed saving.

What makes the California Giants mix different from other zinnia seed blends?

The California Giants variety emphasizes larger-than-average blooms and a wide color range. Unlike many small-packet mixes, this seed packet is oversized and focused on producing abundant 5" flowers that stand out in borders and cutting gardens. The open-pollinated nature preserves classic traits for gardeners who save seed.

• Over 3,000 seeds in a single 1-ounce package for extensive coverage
• Heirloom, non-GMO, open-pollinated seeds for consistent characteristics
• Large 5" blooms ideal for cutting and visual impact
• Mix of vivid colors for a long season of interest

How easy are these zinnias to grow for beginner gardeners?

Zinnias are among the easiest annual flowers to cultivate, and the California Giants mix is no exception. These seeds germinate quickly in warm soil and require minimal maintenance: regular watering until established and full sun for best bloom production. Clear planting guidance printed on the package simplifies the first season for new growers.

• High germination rates speed up bed filling and reduce re-seeding
• Direct sow after last frost or start indoors for earlier blooms
• Thrives in full sun with moderate watering and good drainage
• Resealable packet keeps unused seeds viable for future planting

How much area will one 1-ounce packet cover and what spacing works best?

This generous packet contains enough seed to cover approximately 75 square feet when sown in a traditional spacing pattern. For bold displays, space plants 8–12 inches apart; for dense groundcover-style beds, sow more closely and thin seedlings as they grow. The yield and large flower size make this mix efficient for borders, mass plantings, and cut flower beds.

• Approximate coverage: 75 sq ft per 1-ounce packet
• Recommended spacing: 8–12 inches for individual plants
• Closer sowing possible for dense color carpets; thin as needed
• Produces abundant stems suitable for cutting and bouquets

What storage, seed-saving, and packaging benefits does the packet offer?

The packet is designed for long-term seed health and easy storage, featuring a resealable zipper and clear planting instructions. Because the seeds are open-pollinated and non-GMO, experienced gardeners can save seed year to year with predictable results. Attractive packaging also makes the packet suitable as a gardening gift.

• Resealable zipper for moisture protection and repeated access
• Clear planting instructions printed on the packet for convenience
• Open-pollinated seeds enable seed saving with maintained traits
• Premium presentation makes it gift-friendly for gardeners
