Renogy P2 700W Pure Sine Wave Inverter 12V to 120V — Portable RV/Truck Backup with Remote & GFCI

The Renogy P2 700W Pure Sine Wave Inverter converts a 12V battery into clean 120V AC power, delivering 700W continuous output and 1400W peak surge for appliances, tools, and electronics on the road or at home.

The Renogy P2 is a compact, vehicle- and off-grid-friendly inverter designed to run sensitive electronics and everyday appliances from a 12V DC battery bank. It produces pure sine wave AC output—closer to household grid power—so devices run smoothly and quietly. With built-in protections, remote control capability, and multiple output options, this model targets campers, tradespeople, and homeowners who need reliable backup or mobile power without heavy installation work.

How much power can I run with the Renogy P2?

The P2 supplies 700 watts of continuous AC power and can handle a short peak surge of 1400 watts to start motors or compressors. It’s suitable for many small appliances and electronics but not for high-demand heavy-duty equipment.

• 700W continuous output for TVs, laptops, LED lights, small fridges
• 1400W peak to start inductive loads like small pumps or power tools
• Use with a deep-cycle 12V battery recommended at 80%+ state-of-charge
• Conversion efficiency greater than 90% to reduce battery drain

Will sensitive electronics be safe on this inverter?

Yes — the P2 produces a pure sine wave AC waveform, which matches utility power and reduces electrical noise. That protects delicate devices such as laptops, audio equipment, and medical devices from the voltage irregularities common with modified sine inverters.

• Pure sine wave output for clean, grid-like power
• Quiet operation with minimal audible buzzing on inductive loads
• Protects lifespan and performance of electronics and appliances
• Built-in GFCI and multiple safety circuits for secure use

What safety and control features are included?

The Renogy P2 incorporates several protections to keep the inverter and connected devices safe, plus user-friendly controls for convenient operation. LED indicators and a wired remote make monitoring and adjusting output simple, even from a distance.

• Under/over-voltage, over-temperature, overload, and short-circuit protection
• Ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) for additional user safety
• LED status indicators and a 19.8 ft wired remote for remote monitoring
• High-speed cooling fans and durable metal housing for long-term reliability

How easy is installation and everyday use?

Installation is straightforward: connect to a 12V deep-cycle battery with the supplied 6AWG cables, plug appliances into the AC outlets, and use the remote where needed. The unit includes two AC outlets, an AC terminal block, and a 5V/2.1A USB port for phone charging.

• Comes with two 3 ft 6AWG cables and a long wired remote
• Two standard AC outlets plus an AC terminal block for hardwired devices
• Built-in USB port for charging phones and tablets
• Compact metal enclosure mounts easily in RVs, trucks, or home systems

Who this product is for: The Renogy P2 700W inverter suits RVers, vanlifers, fishermen, contractors, and homeowners who need reliable, clean AC power from a 12V battery for small to medium loads. It’s ideal if you want quiet operation, protection for sensitive equipment, and simple installation with remote monitoring. If you plan to power heavy-duty appliances like large air conditioners or electric ovens, choose a higher-capacity inverter.
