Renogy Inverter P2 1000W Pure Sine Wave 12V to 110V Inverter — 2000W Surge, 16.4ft Remote, Metal Housing

The Renogy Inverter P2 is a compact, vehicle- and solar-friendly 12V-to-110V pure sine wave inverter designed to run sensitive electronics and small appliances away from the grid. Built with a metal housing, safety protections, and multiple AC outlets plus USB, it aims to deliver reliable AC power for RVs, trucks, campsites, and emergency backup scenarios. This description explains what it does, how it performs, and which situations it fits best.

How much continuous and peak power can the P2 deliver?

The inverter provides 1000 watts of continuous AC power with a 2000-watt surge capacity to handle motor starts and short-duration inrush loads. Conversion efficiency exceeds 90%, which helps limit wasted battery energy and heat during operation.

• 1000W continuous output for lights, small refrigerators, laptops, and TVs.
• 2000W peak surge for compressors and power tools during startup.
• Greater than 90% conversion efficiency to reduce battery drain.

What devices are safe to run on its pure sine wave output?

Pure sine wave output closely matches household grid power, so the P2 can run sensitive electronics without humming or extra wear. Devices that benefit include audio/video gear, medical-grade chargers, variable-speed motors, and modern appliances that require clean AC to operate reliably.

• TVs, laptops, tablets, and stereo equipment run quieter and cooler.
• Freezers and compressors start more reliably thanks to surge support.
• Medical or precision charging equipment receives stable, clean power.

Which safety and convenience features does it include?

The inverter is engineered with multiple protective circuits and user-focused inputs to make installation and everyday use straightforward. Visual LED status indicators and built-in cooling ensure safe, continuous operation under typical loads.

• LED indicators for under-voltage, over-voltage, overload, and short circuit.
• Over-temperature protection and active cooling fans to manage heat.
• GFCI protection and UL/CSA certifications for safer installations.

How do you hook it up and control it remotely?

Renogy includes heavy-gauge battery cables and a long wired remote to simplify placement and control from a convenient location. The unit also offers multiple AC outlets and a USB port so you can plug devices directly without extra adapters.

• Includes two 1/0 AWG, 3ft battery cables for secure DC connections.
• 16.4ft wired remote lets you switch the inverter on/off from a distance.
• Three AC outlets, one AC terminal block, and a 5V/2.1A USB port for on-device power access.

Who this is for: The Renogy Inverter P2 1000W suits vanlifers, RV owners, truckers, weekend campers, and anyone needing dependable 110V power from a 12V battery. It fits users who require clean, grid-like AC for sensitive electronics, those who want a portable backup for power interruptions, and off-grid households adding AC capability to their solar setups. Note: for best battery life use with a deep cycle battery and avoid prolonged operation below 20% state of charge.
