Rain Bird R-VAN24 Rotary Nozzle 17–24 ft 360° (5-Pack) Low-Precipitation, Wind-Resistant

Rain Bird R-VAN24 is a 5-pack of adjustable 360° rotary nozzles that deliver thick, low-precipitation streams for uniform watering across a 17–24 foot radius while reducing runoff and misting.

These R-VAN adjustable rotary nozzles replace standard spray tips to increase irrigation efficiency and give installers simple, on-the-spot control of arc and distance. Engineered for durability and real-world conditions, the rotating-stream design produces larger droplets that resist wind and fogging while applying water at a lower precipitation rate. A manual pull-up flush clears debris without tools, and the color-coded, laser-marked bodies make model identification fast during installation or maintenance.

How do these nozzles save water compared with conventional spray tips?

The rotating streams of the R-VAN24 slow the precipitation rate so water soaks in rather than runs off hard surfaces. When retrofitted onto ordinary spray bodies, these rotary nozzles can cut flow by up to 60% and improve overall water efficiency by roughly 30%, depending on site conditions and scheduling.

• Low precipitation streams reduce waste and erosion
• Large droplet delivery resists wind drift and misting
• Up to 60% lower flow versus standard spray nozzles
• Compatibility with existing Rain Bird spray bodies simplifies upgrades

What spray patterns and distances can I set with the R-VAN24?

The R-VAN24 covers a variable radius from 17 to 24 feet and supports adjustable arcs from 45° up to full 360° rotation. Radius and arc adjustments are performed by hand—no tools are required—making quick field changes straightforward for designers and maintenance crews.

• Radius: 17–24 ft for medium to large coverage areas
• Arc: 45°–270° adjustable, plus full-circle 360° model included
• Hand-adjustable for fast on-site tuning
• Laser-marked, color-coded body for quick model ID

Will these nozzles handle windy or high-pressure conditions?

Yes. The R-VAN24 is made to maintain efficient performance at higher operating pressures without producing fine mist. Its thick, wind-resistant streams deliver water to the target zone rather than letting it drift away, which helps preserve uniform coverage on exposed sites.

• Thicker droplets cut through wind better than conventional sprays
• Designed to avoid fogging and mist at common system pressures
• Durable construction for sustained field performance
• Manual flush clears sediment for continuous operation

How does maintenance and debris protection work on these nozzles?

The R-VAN24 includes an integrated pull-up flush feature that lets you clear dirt and grit from the nozzle without disassembly. Routine inspection and a quick manual flush keep spray patterns consistent and reduce clogging issues in dirty or variable-water environments.

• Pull-up flush removes trapped debris quickly
• Flushable design reduces downtime and maintenance effort
• Compatible with Rain Bird risers, adapters, and spray bodies for easy service
• Large droplets minimize blockage from minerals and particulates

Who is this for: Landscape professionals, irrigation installers, and savvy homeowners who want a straightforward retrofit to improve water distribution and reduce runoff across medium to large turf or planted areas. The Rain Bird R-VAN24 5-pack is ideal when you need adjustable arc and radius control, wind-resistant performance, and an easy-to-maintain nozzle that fits existing Rain Bird spray bodies and risers.
