Rain Bird 24RNVAPRO HE Pro Rotary Nozzle 17–24 ft Adjustable 45–270°, Water-Saving

This pro-grade nozzle uses multiple rotating streams of large droplets to resist wind, reduce misting, and move water deeper into soil profiles. Adjustable on the fly for arc and radius, the 24RNVAPRO replaces most quarter-, half- and variable-pattern pop-up sprays and works well in low-pressure systems, on slopes, and with compacted soils. Built to commercial standards with UV-resistant plastics and stainless-steel components, it integrates with Rain Bird spray bodies and risers for flexible retrofit or new-install use.

How does the 24RNVAPRO save water without sacrificing coverage?

Large, rotating streams reduce evaporation and wind drift compared with fine-mist spray nozzles. The nozzle applies water more uniformly across the set pattern so runoff is minimized and water penetrates the root zone more effectively.

• Up to 30% water savings versus conventional pop-up sprays
• 0.6-inch-per-hour precipitation rate for slower, deeper watering
• Large droplet streams that resist wind and reduce misting
• Extended 17'–24' radius covers more area with fewer heads

How do I adjust pattern and distance in the field?

Arc and radius are designed to be calibrated while the system is running; no tools are necessary. Turn the nozzle to change arc (45°–270°) and use the radius adjustment for 17–24 feet, so you can fine-tune head-to-head coverage from the sprinkler riser.

• Hand-adjustable 45°–270° pattern without special tools
• Radius adjustable between 17 and 24 feet while operating
• Pull-up flush feature clears debris during operation
• Works across common quarter/half/adjustable zones for simple replacement

Will this nozzle work with my existing system and conditions?

The 24RNVAPRO runs at 20–55 psi and is compatible with all Rain Bird spray bodies, risers, and adapters, and can operate on the same zone as Rain Bird 5000 Series MPR rotors. Its performance on slopes and compacted soils makes it suitable for many residential and commercial landscapes.

• Operates 20–55 psi with no misting at higher pressures
• Compatible with Rain Bird spray bodies, risers, and adapters
• Meets ASABE/ICC 802-2014 irrigation standards
• Suitable replacement for many conventional pop-up spray heads

How does maintenance and longevity look over time?

Maintenance is minimal: pull the nozzle up while water is flowing to flush out debris and clear clogs without tools. Materials are selected for long outdoor life, helping reduce replacements and downtime.

• Tool-free clog clearing by pulling up the nozzle during operation
• Commercial-grade UV plastics and stainless-steel parts resist weathering
• Designed for consistent performance in varied pressure and soil conditions
• Also available in a 360° full-pattern variant (24RVNFPRO)

Who is this for? Landscapers, irrigation professionals, and homeowners who want a durable, efficient replacement for conventional pop-up sprays will appreciate the 24RNVAPRO. It’s especially useful where wind, low water pressure, slopes, or compacted soils reduce the effectiveness of traditional spray heads. If you want fewer heads per zone, simpler field adjustments without tools, and reduced runoff, this nozzle is designed for those goals while fitting existing Rain Bird hardware.
