ORIMERC 4-inch Net Pots 20-Pack — 4.2-inch Lip Slotted Mesh Net Cups with 20ft Self-Watering Wick

ORIMERC 4-inch net pots pack (20 cups) with 20 feet of self-watering wick and plant labels provides a ready-to-use solution for hydroponic, aquaponic and container propagation.

These 4" slotted mesh net cups are designed to give roots air circulation and drainage while holding growing media such as clay pebbles or rock wool. The kit includes a 20-pack of sturdy net pots, a 20-foot capillary wick for DIY self-watering setups, and reusable plant labels so you can track varieties and growth stages. Constructed BPA-free with a wide lip collar, these pots work in Kratky jars, 5-gallon buckets, rafts, gutters and many indoor/outdoor systems.

How do these net pots improve root health and drainage?

The open slotted mesh design encourages airflow to the root zone and prevents stagnant moisture around roots, which helps reduce overwatering risks. Drainage holes allow excess nutrient solution to escape, keeping media from becoming waterlogged. The structure supports media while letting water and oxygen reach the root tips.

• Slotted mesh sides for superior air exchange and oxygenation.
• Bottom openings provide reliable drainage and circulation.
• Designed to hold clay pebbles, rock wool, and similar substrates securely.

Can I use the included self-watering wick with different hydroponic methods?

Yes — the 20-foot capillary wick makes it simple to convert pots into passive self-watering planters or augment Kratky and bucket setups. The wick draws nutrient solution up to the media by capillary action, reducing daily maintenance and helping plants access water between top-ups. It’s a low-tech option for vacation watering or continuous passive feeding.

• Compatible with Kratky jars, passive buckets, and small DWC systems.
• Good for vacation watering and reducing refill frequency.
• Easy to thread through the pot rim and position into a reservoir below.

Will these 4-inch pots fit in common hydroponic and aquaponic setups?

The extra-wide 4.2" lip collar makes the cups versatile and forgiving when placing into pre-cut holes or foam rafts. The rim prevents pots from slipping through and gives flexibility for slightly oversized or uneven hole cuts. They are reusable and durable enough for seasonal cycles or long-term installations.

• 4.2" wide lip to sit securely in foam, rafts, and grow bed openings.
• Works with mason jar Kratky inserts, 5-gallon buckets and gutter systems.
• Durable construction allows reuse after harvest or transplanting.

What plants are suitable for these net cups and wick systems?

These pots are suitable for a wide range of herbs, leafy greens, small fruiting plants and ornamental species that thrive with good aeration. They’re particularly useful for orchids, African violets and seedlings that benefit from airflow. Use with clay pebbles or rock wool for most hydroponic crops.

• Herbs and salad greens: basil, lettuce, chives, cilantro, parsley.
• Small fruiting plants: cherry tomatoes, peppers, strawberries.
• Orchids, African violets and propagation/cloning applications.
