How will these cosmos seeds perform in my garden?

Cosmos bipinnatus are prized for fast, abundant flowering on long, graceful stems that support pollinators. These non‑GMO heirloom seeds have been tested for high germination, making them a dependable choice for mass plantings, cottage gardens, and pollinator habitat projects.

• Approximately 18,000 seeds per 4 oz packet for large displays or repeated sowings
• 90%+ tested germination rate for dependable sprouting
• Produces airy pink and white blooms that attract bees and butterflies
• Suitable for direct sowing or starting indoors in trays

What is the best way to plant and start these seeds?

Cosmos are straightforward to grow from seed: sow where you want flowers to bloom, thin for airflow, or start indoors if you prefer an earlier display. The included QR code links to step‑by‑step guidance tailored for soil types and climate zones.

• Direct sow after last frost or start indoors 4–6 weeks before transplanting
• Lightly cover seeds—cosmos need some light for best germination
• Thin seedlings to 8–12 inches apart for strong stems and airflow
• Use well‑draining soil; cosmos tolerate lean soils and low fertilizer

How does the packaging protect seed quality and storage life?

The seeds are sealed in a waterproof, resealable bag that blocks light and moisture—two key enemies of seed viability. That packaging, together with careful sourcing and testing, helps ensure the seeds remain plantable for up to two years when stored in cool, dry conditions.

• Waterproof, light‑blocking resealable pouch for long shelf life
• QR code printed on the packet links to online storage and planting tips
• Packaged and tested in a family‑owned Florida facility for quality control
• Compact 4 oz size holds enough seed for large beds or multiple seasons

Can these seeds support pollinators and low‑maintenance landscapes?

Yes—cosmos produce nectar‑rich flowers on tall stems that are easy for pollinators to access. Their low nutrient needs and long bloom period make them a smart pick for naturalized areas, pollinator plots, and mixed borders that require minimal upkeep.

• Attractive to bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects
• Long bloom season with repeated flowering when deadheaded
• Thrives in lean soils, reducing fertilizer needs
• Works well in borders, mass plantings, and containers
