Lyric Delite Wild Bird Seed Shell-Free No Waste, 10 lb (2 x 5 lb) — High-Protein Nuts & Kernels, Pre-Hulled Freshness

Lyric Delite Wild Bird Seed is a pre-hulled, high-protein mix of nuts and kernels designed to feed backyard birds without shell litter or wasted husks.

Designed for backyard feeders and bird watchers, this Lyric Delite blend combines shelled peanuts, sunflower kernels, pecans, pistachios, and pumpkin seeds into a ready-to-use, no-waste formula. Because the seeds are pre-hulled, less debris falls beneath feeders and fewer weeds germinate from discarded shells. The combination of nuts and kernels delivers protein and fat to support active wild birds through seasonal changes, while the packaging includes an oxygen scavenger to help preserve freshness until you open the bag.

Which birds will Lyric Delite attract to my yard?

This mix appeals to a wide range of common backyard species drawn to high-energy seeds and nuts. Birds that favor larger kernels and shelled seeds will be regular visitors, and the visible variety helps attract colorful, active songbirds throughout the day.

• Cardinals and jays enjoy peanuts and larger kernels
• Finches and chickadees forage the smaller kernel pieces
• Woodpeckers and titmice visit for dense, high-fat nuggets
• Attracts nuthatches and other insectivores supplementing their diet

How do I use Lyric Delite in my existing feeders?

The shell-free formulation works well in most covered feeder types and reduces mess under the feeding area. Use it in tube feeders, covered trays, wire mesh, and hopper-style feeders—no additional preparation is needed.

• Fill tube or hopper feeders directly with the shelled mix
• Use in covered tray or platform feeders to reduce ground waste
• Suitable for mixed-use feeding stations where cleanliness matters
• Store unopened bags in a cool, dry place; reseal after opening

Why choose pre-hulled 'no waste' bird seed over traditional mixes?

No-waste seed minimizes the husks and shells that typically collect under feeders, helping keep patios and gardens cleaner and lowering the chance of weed growth from spilled seed. For homeowners who prefer a tidier feeding area or who feed birds in confined spaces like patios and decks, the shelled blend is a practical choice.

• Reduces visible shell debris beneath feeders
• Lowers maintenance and cleanup time around feeding stations
• Helps keep planter beds and lawns free of sprouting seed remnants
• Concentrates nutrition in the kernels birds actually eat

How is freshness preserved and how long will the seed last?

Each bag of Lyric Delite includes an oxygen scavenger packet to protect against oxidation and off-flavors while unopened. For best quality, use the seed within a season after opening and keep the bag sealed or stored in an airtight container to maintain freshness.

• Packaging includes oxygen scavenger for shelf-life protection
• Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
• Transfer opened seed to an airtight container for longer storage
• Use within months of opening for peak aroma and nutrition
