Mr. Bird bird food cylinder 2-Pack, 4 lb 2 oz — Bugs, Nuts & Fruit, ready-to-hang no-mess mix

Mr. Bird Bugs, Nuts & Fruit Cylinder is a ready-to-hang, no-mess wild bird food cylinder combining mealworms, pecans, sunflower hearts, raisins and cranberries to attract a wide variety of backyard birds year-round.

Handcrafted in New Braunfels, Texas, this two-pack (4 lb 2 oz total) blends high-quality ingredients into large, individually wrapped cylinders that resist melting and reduce waste. The recipe emphasizes protein and energy sources birds seek, packaged to fit most cylinder feeders or hangers. Whether you’re setting up a permanent feeding station or adding seasonal snacks, this mix aims to bring cardinals, woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees, bluebirds and other visitors to your yard without the mess of loose seed.

How will this cylinder change my backyard bird activity?

Because the formula combines protein-rich mealworms with energy-dense pecans, sunflower hearts and fruit, it appeals to insect-eating and seed-eating species alike. The mix draws a broader roster of birds than plain seed, increasing both species variety and viewing opportunities.

• Attracts insectivores and seed-eaters simultaneously (e.g., woodpeckers and cardinals)
• Sweet fruit bits encourage thrushes and waxwings when present
• Sunflower hearts are easy for small birds like chickadees to eat

Will the cylinder make a mess or melt in hot weather?

These cylinders are formulated to remain stable in summer heat and to shed minimal crumbs, so feeders and ground areas stay cleaner than with loose seed. Each cylinder is individually wrapped to hold freshness until you’re ready to hang it.

• No-melt formulation stands up to warm temperatures
• Solid cylinder design reduces seed spillage and husk fallout
• Individually wrapped for easy storage and longer shelf life

How do I install and use the Mr. Bird cylinder?

Use the cylinder hung directly from a hook or inserted into a cylinder-style feeder such as the Mr. Bird EZFeeder. The size fits most universal cylinder feeders and is simple to swap out when finished.

• Fits standard cylinder feeders and Mr. Bird EZFeeder
• Hang with a hook or place into feeder opening—no tools required
• One cylinder lasts longer than many suet cakes because of larger mass

What ingredients are inside and why were they chosen?

The recipe combines mealworms, pecans, sunflower hearts, raisins and cranberries to provide a mix of protein, fats and carbohydrates that birds naturally select. Mr. Bird emphasizes premium components and avoids cheap fillers to keep the blend attractive and nutritious for a wide range of species.

• Mealworms supply accessible protein for insectivores
• Pecans and sunflower hearts give concentrated fats and energy
• Raisins and cranberries add natural sugars and variety
