GICOOL 16" 4.80/4.00-8 Wheelbarrow Tire & Wheel — Solid PU Flat-Free, Sealed Bearings

GICOOL 16" 4.80/4.00-8 is a flat-free, solid PU foam tire and welded steel wheel assembly designed as a direct-replacement wheel for wheelbarrows, garden carts, and utility trolleys.

This single-pack wheel combines a 16-inch diameter, 4.80/4.00-8 sized solid tire with a reinforced welded rim and sealed carbon steel bearings to give a maintenance-free rolling solution for outdoor equipment. It arrives with an adapter kit that includes two 3/4-inch bearings and nylon spacers to fit various axle and hub configurations, making it a convenient swap-in for common cart and wheelbarrow hubs.

How does this wheel resist punctures and maintenance?

The tire is molded from premium polyurethane (PU) foam to provide an airless, puncture-proof construction that eliminates flats and the need to hold air pressure. Because it’s solid, you won’t need to patch, inflate, or monitor tire pressure for day-to-day use.

• Solid PU foam tire resists punctures and tears
• Airless design removes inflation maintenance
• Durable tread for general-purpose outdoor surfaces

Will it fit my wheelbarrow or utility cart?

This wheel uses the common 4.80/4.00-8 size—16" diameter with a roughly 3.6" tread width—and includes spacers and bearings to accommodate different hub depths. Still, measure your existing wheel’s axle bore and hub length to ensure compatibility before ordering.

• Axle bore hole diameter: 5/8" (check axle size)
• Centered hub length: 3" with adjustable spacer options
• Includes two 3/4" bearings plus 0.5" and 1.5" nylon spacers

How durable and load-capable is this assembly?

The wheel features a welded carbon steel rim and sealed bearings for robust rotation under load, and the solid PU tire adds abrasion resistance. The dynamic load rating is listed to guide suitability for typical garden and utility tasks rather than heavy industrial hauling.

• Welded rim construction reduces risk of rim separation
• Sealed carbon steel bearings ensure smooth rotation
• Dynamic load capacity: 330 lbs (use as guideline)

What tools or parts come with the wheel, and is installation difficult?

The wheel ships with bearings and two nylon spacers to adapt to different hub lengths; common hand tools—wrenches and pliers—are usually all that’s needed for installation. The assembly is designed for a straightforward swap of an existing wheel once axle diameter and hub depth are confirmed.

• Included: two 3/4" bearings and two nylon spacers (0.5" and 1.5")
• Typical installation: remove old wheel, fit bearings and spacers, slide onto axle, secure with cotter pin or nut
• No inflation or tire seating required due to solid construction

Who is this for: This GICOOL 16" 4.80/4.00-8 flat-free tire and wheel is aimed at homeowners, landscapers, gardeners, and light-duty contractors who want a low-maintenance replacement for wheelbarrows, garden carts, and small utility trolleys. It’s ideal if you prefer a puncture-proof alternative and need a common-size wheel with included adapters to fit a range of hubs. Verify your axle bore and hub length before purchase to ensure a proper fit.
