GICOOL 16-inch Solid Wheelbarrow Tire 4.80/4.00-8 Flat-Free PU Foam, 6-inch Centered Hub

The GICOOL 16" solid wheelbarrow tire (4.80/4.00-8) is a flat-free, puncture-proof replacement wheel with a 6" centered hub and 5/8" axle bore designed for garden carts, wheelbarrows and utility trolleys.

Built as a one-piece unit with a welded steel rim and PU foam tread, this airless wheel removes the hassle of tube punctures and frequent inflation. It combines a compact 15.5" diameter with a 3.6" tread width and a double-sealed bearing assembly to keep rotation smooth under load. The wheel is designed for dynamic loads up to 300 lbs and fits many common wheelbarrow and trolley applications when the size and axle bore match.

Will this wheel fit my wheelbarrow or garden cart?

Check your existing wheel's stamped size or measure the tire diameter, width, hub length and axle bore before ordering to confirm compatibility. This model matches many standard 4.80/4.00-8 applications but only fits when the hub length and 5/8" axle bore align with your frame.

• Measure tire diameter: approx. 15.5" on this wheel.
• Verify tread width: 3.6" to match tire well clearance.
• Confirm axle bore: 5/8" (0.625") to accept your axle.
• Hub length: centered 6" to fit typical wheel mounts.

How does the solid PU construction perform compared to pneumatic wheels?

Polyurethane foam removes puncture risk because there is no inner tube to puncture and no need to inflate. The PU compound used combines wear resistance with tear strength so the wheel holds up against rough surfaces and garden debris without blowouts.

• Airless design prevents flats and maintenance for prolonged use.
• PU foam offers abrasion resistance on gravel and packed soil.
• Not intended for highway speeds or continuous high-speed travel.
• Best for intermittent loads and typical yard or construction work.

What does the one-piece welded rim and bearing assembly mean for durability?

The wheel uses a one-piece welded carbon steel rim to reduce the risk of separation between rim and hub under load. Double-sealed bearings help the wheel turn smoothly and keep out water and debris, so the assembly maintains balance even when carrying heavier dynamic loads.

• Welded rim prevents rim deformation under load stress.
• Double-sealed bearings protect internal components from dirt.
• Balanced hub design reduces wobble during use.
• Rated for dynamic loads up to approximately 300 lbs.

How do I install and maintain this replacement wheel?

Installation follows standard wheelbarrow wheel replacement steps: remove the old wheel, slide the new wheel onto the axle, and secure with washers and fasteners appropriate for a 5/8" bore. Maintenance is minimal thanks to the airless tire and sealed bearings, but periodic inspection and cleaning extend service life.

• Remove retaining clip or nut from axle and slide off old wheel.
• Slide GICOOL wheel onto 5/8" axle, align hub centered in bracket.
• Replace washers, secure nut or cotter pin to manufacturer torque spec.
• Occasional washing and bearing checks recommended; no inflation needed.

Who is this replacement wheel best for? This GICOOL 16" solid wheel is ideal for homeowners, landscapers and light contractors who want a low-maintenance, puncture-free replacement for common wheelbarrows, hand trucks and garden trolleys. If you regularly carry mixed loads over rough yards, driveways or construction sites and prefer to avoid flat tires and inflation upkeep, this wheel offers a straightforward, durable swap—provided the axle bore, hub length and tire dimensions match your equipment. Not intended as a high-speed vehicle tire; designed for utility and yard use only.
