Cauff Post Mount Adapter for 4x4 Post — HDPE Weather-Resistant Mailbox & Birdhouse Bracket with Stainless Screws

The Cauff Post Mount Adapter securely converts any standard 4x4 post into a tidy mounting point for a mailbox, birdhouse, or bird feeder with durable HDPE construction and stainless steel hardware included.

Whether you’re replacing a worn bracket or installing a new mailbox or birdhouse, this universal adapter simplifies attachment to a standard 4 x 4 post. Crafted from long-lasting, weather-resistant HDPE and supplied with ten stainless steel screws, the unit arrives ready to fasten to a mounting board and clamp to a post. Pre-drilled holes speed installation, and the hardware is corrosion-resistant for outdoor use.

How does the adapter attach to a 4x4 post?

The adapter mounts directly to your mailbox or birdhouse mounting board and then fits over the top of a standard 4 x 4 post for a secure connection. Pre-drilled holes and included stainless steel screws make the process straightforward for DIYers and professionals alike.

• Slides over or aligns with the mounting board for a firm hold
• Pre-drilled holes match standard screw patterns
• Includes 10 stainless steel screws for corrosion resistance
• No extra drilling of the post required in most installations

What materials and hardware are used for outdoor durability?

Construction uses high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a tough plastic known for resisting moisture, UV fading, and seasonal temperature changes. The adapter is assembled with quality stainless steel screws to prevent rust and extend service life in outdoor environments.

• HDPE body resists cracking, warping, and water damage
• Stainless steel screws reduce corrosion risk
• Made in the USA for consistent material standards
• Designed for repeated seasonal exposure without degradation

Which items will this adapter support and what sizes fit?

The adapter is built as a universal mounting bracket for common yard fixtures like mailboxes, birdhouses and feeders. It’s intended to pair with a standard 4 x 4 post and the mounting board that typically accompanies those products for a clean, stable installation.

• Compatible with most mailbox mounting boards and birdhouse bases
• Optimized for standard 4 x 4 wooden posts
• Works with bird feeders and decorative yard fixtures of similar mounting design
• Post sold separately; adapter interfaces with existing mounting hardware

How easy is it to install and what tools are needed?

Installation is intentionally simple: position the adapter on your mounting board, align pre-drilled holes, and fasten with the included stainless steel screws. Typical household tools—cordless drill or screwdriver and a level—are all you need to complete the job quickly.

• Pre-drilled holes reduce measuring and marking
• Ten included screws eliminate the need to source hardware
• Requires only a drill/screwdriver and a level for most setups
• Installation usually finished within minutes for one person
