ZeeDix Organic Coco Coir Bricks - 10 Pack, Premium Expandable Coconut Fiber for Seed Starting & Potting

ZeeDix Organic Coco Coir Bricks are compressed, sustainable coconut fiber blocks that expand into a light, moisture-retentive growing medium ideal for potting, seed starting, and soil amendment.

These 10 individually compressed coco coir bricks offer a ready-to-expand, pH-balanced substrate made from 100% natural coconut fiber. Each compact 1.4 lb brick rehydrates into roughly 2.4 gallons of fluffy coir, giving you about 24 gallons of loose growing medium in total. The product is designed to improve water retention and aeration, reduce compaction in containers and beds, and serve a wide range of home and hobby growing tasks without synthetic additives.

How do ZeeDix coir bricks expand and prepare for planting?

Each brick is tightly compressed to save storage and shipping space; rehydrating restores its full volume in minutes. Use warm water to speed expansion, stir gently to separate fibers, then let the mixture rest until fully fluffy. After expansion, the coir can be used as a standalone medium or blended with potting soil, perlite, or compost.

• Add hot or warm water to each brick until fully submerged for fastest expansion.
• Stir or break apart with a hand tool for uniform texture and to release air pockets.
• Drain excess water and let the coir settle before planting or mixing.
• Mix ratios: coir alone for seed starting, 50/50 with potting mix for containers, or 30% coir to amend garden soil.

What advantages does coconut coir offer over peat and other media?

Coco coir provides a renewable, low-EC alternative to peat with strong water-holding capacity and quicker drainage than dense soils. It resists compaction, supports healthy root oxygenation, and can be reused multiple times when kept clean. Because it's pH-balanced and low in salts, it pairs well with most fertilizers and amendments.

• Renewable coconut fiber replaces nonrenewable peat in mixes.
• Holds 8–10x its weight in water while allowing excess to drain away.
• Neutral pH and low electrical conductivity suit many plant types.
• Lightweight, reduces container weight compared with heavy soils.

How much area and which plants can this 10-pack support?

Ten ZeeDix bricks expand to roughly 24 gallons of loose coir—enough for multiple pots, seed trays, or to amend several raised beds. It’s suitable for indoor houseplants, container vegetables, herbs, seedlings, and succulents when blended properly. The flexibility makes it useful for gardeners who rotate crops or maintain many small containers.

• Approximately 24 gallons total expanded volume from the 10-pack.
• Fills multiple 6–12 inch pots, several seed trays, or amends raised beds.
• Use alone for seedlings, or mix with compost for vegetables and herbs.
• Works well in grow bags, propagation, and vermicomposting setups.

How should I store and reuse ZeeDix coco coir?

Keep unused bricks dry and out of direct sunlight to preserve their integrity; stored properly they remain usable for long periods. After use, rinse and dry the coir to reduce salt build-up, then rehydrate again for reuse or incorporate into compost. Proper handling extends lifecycle and maximizes value.

• Store bricks in a cool, dry place in original packaging or sealed container.
• Rinse used coir to remove fertilizer salts before drying for reuse.
• Mix spent coir into compost or soil as a long-term amendment.
• Label remaining bricks with purchase date to track rotation.

Who is this for? ZeeDix Organic Coco Coir Bricks suit hobby gardeners, balcony and container growers, seed starters, and anyone replacing peat or improving soil structure. They’re especially helpful for growers wanting a lightweight, reusable, pH-balanced substrate that supports healthy roots, conserves water, and adapts to a wide range of indoor and outdoor planting projects.
