YPDiXDi 20-Inch Hanging Bird Seed Catcher Tray — 20" Mesh Platform, 4" Deep for Cleaner Feed Stations

YPDiXDi's 20-inch hanging bird seed catcher tray is a durable mesh platform that attaches beneath most hanging bird feeders to catch spilled seed, husks, and shells before they hit the ground.

Keep your feeding area cleaner and reduce waste with a wide, 20-inch diameter tray that hangs under tube and platform feeders. Made from breathable polyester mesh, the catcher lets water and air pass through to prevent soggy seed while its 4-inch depth helps contain debris. The tray ships with metal hooks and attachment rings for quick installation and offers options to stabilize it against wind.

How does this tray reduce yard mess and pests?

The catcher intercepts seeds and shells that fall from your feeder, preventing a buildup under feeding stations that can attract rodents and excessive insects. By capturing the debris above ground level, it keeps lawns, patios, and pathways cleaner and cuts down on the frequency of sweeping or raking.

• 20-inch diameter catches a wide radius of dropped seed.
• 4-inch deep sides help keep debris contained on windy days.
• Mesh material prevents small seeds from scattering across the yard.

Will it work with my existing hanging bird feeder?

The catcher is designed to fit under most hanging feeders, including tube and platform styles, thanks to its metal hanging hooks and adjustable mounting rings. Installation requires no tools; simply attach the hooks and ring to your feeder’s bottom or suspension point and adjust for balance.

• Universal hanging hooks fit common feeder configurations.
• Mounting rings allow height and balance adjustments.
• Suitable for most outdoor hanging feeders (feeder not included).

How does the mesh fabric help seed quality and maintenance?

The polyester mesh construction lets air circulate and water drain, helping to keep spilled seed drier and less likely to develop mold. That same breathable weave also makes cleanup simple: detach the tray, rinse it, and rehang once dry.

• Durable polyester resists tearing and outdoor wear.
• Permeable mesh promotes airflow and quick drying.
• Rinse-and-dry maintenance—no specialized cleaning required.

How can I keep the tray steady in wind or when birds land on it?

The catcher includes lower attachment rings so you can secure it to the ground with a short rope or add a small weight beneath to dampen swinging. These options help stabilize the platform when larger birds land or breezes pick up, so seed stays contained without excessive movement.

• Bottom rings accept tie-downs or a small counterweight.
• Adjustable hanging points help balance the tray evenly.
• Design reduces swaying to keep seeds from spilling out.

If you host backyard birds with hanging feeders and want to limit waste, avoid ground messes that attract pests, and make cleanup easier, the YPDiXDi 20" seed catcher is a practical, low-effort accessory to add to your setup.
