YAWV Cordless Leaf Blower for Makita 18V Batteries — 2-in-1 Blower & Vacuum, Brushless Motor, 6 Speeds (Up to 180 MPH)

Powerful, lightweight cordless blower that runs on Makita 18V batteries, converts to a vacuum, and offers six speeds up to 180 MPH for yard and jobsite tasks.

This YAWV cordless leaf blower is a tool-only air system engineered for use with Makita 18V batteries (battery sold separately). It features a brushless motor for longer life and stronger airflow, built-in low-voltage and over-current protection to safeguard batteries, and a 2-in-1 blower/vacuum design that expands its usefulness from outdoor leaf clearing to indoor dust and pet hair pickup.

How does this blower protect my Makita battery?

The blower includes electronic safeguards that monitor battery voltage and current draw. If the battery voltage drops too low or the current spikes, the unit will automatically shut off to prevent damage. These protections help extend the useful life of your Makita pack and avoid unexpected shutdowns during work.

• Built-in low-voltage cutout to prevent over-discharge
• Over-current protection to guard both tool and battery
• Automatic power-off when unsafe conditions are detected

What performance can I expect from the brushless motor?

The high-efficiency brushless motor spins up to 18,000 RPM, delivering strong, sustained airflow for blowing or suction tasks. Brushless technology reduces internal friction and heat so the motor lasts longer and runs more efficiently compared with brushed designs.

• Motor speed up to 18,000 RPM for consistent power
• Improved longevity and lower maintenance thanks to brushless design
• Optimized to work with Makita 18V battery output for reliable runtime

Can this unit switch between blowing and vacuuming easily?

Yes—the YAWV tool converts between blower and vacuum modes without special tools. A selection of nozzles and an included dust collection bag let you adapt quickly for sweeping leaves, clearing car interiors, or removing debris from hard-to-reach spots.

• Quick mode change from blower to vacuum
• Large and small suction nozzles plus extension tube for varied tasks
• Flexible hose and dust bag included for vacuum operation

Which speeds and uses are best for different jobs?

Six speed settings let you fine-tune airflow from gentle indoor work to powerful outdoor clearing. Use lower speeds to remove dust and pet hair indoors or when working near fragile objects; switch to higher speeds for wet leaves, lawn trimmings, and jobsite debris.

• Low speeds (around 70 MPH) for indoor, delicate, or close-up work
• Mid-range for clearing patios, garages, and car interiors
• High speed (up to 180 MPH) for heavier outdoor cleanup and drifting leaves

Who is this for: The YAWV cordless blower is built for homeowners, landscapers, and tradespeople who already use Makita 18V batteries and want a versatile, tool-only air system. It suits anyone needing a portable blower that converts to a vacuum for seasonal yard work, car detailing, light workshop cleanup, or inflating gear while relying on the durability and efficiency of a brushless motor.
