Woodstream Victor Metal Pedal Rat Trap M201 Pack of 3 — Heavy-Duty Metal Snap, Sensitive Pedal

Victor Metal Pedal Rat Trap M201 (pack of 3) is a heavy-duty, non-poisonous snap trap designed to catch rats quickly and dispose of them safely.

These Victor M201 metal pedal traps from Woodstream offer a compact, durable solution for indoor or outdoor rat control without using poisons. Each trap uses a sensitive pedal and strong spring to deliver a quick mechanical catch. The traps are disposable, made for repeated placement until they're no longer effective, and come three to a pack for multi-point coverage around homes, garages, sheds, and other problem areas.

How does the Victor M201 trap work to catch rats?

The M201 uses a simple mechanical snap design: a baited pedal triggers a powerful spring-loaded bar that confines or kills the rodent instantly. It requires no electricity or toxic bait—just proper placement and baiting. The metal construction maintains tension over time for reliable performance.

• Large, sensitive pedal detects rodent weight and movement
• Strong steel spring delivers a fast snap action
• Low-profile shape hides in runways and along walls
• Works without poison—suitable for households with pets or children when placed responsibly

Where should I place these traps for the best results?

Put traps along walls, near suspected entry points, or in places with fresh droppings and gnaw marks. Set multiple traps at 2–3 metre intervals in active areas to increase catch rates. Avoid placing in the middle of open rooms; rats prefer edges and covered paths.

• Place along baseboards and inside garages or sheds
• Near food storage areas, behind appliances, or under shelving
• Use multiple traps in a line where activity is noticed
• Keep out of reach of children and pets or inside tamper-resistant boxes

How do I bait, set, and dispose of the M201 traps safely?

Bait with small amounts of attractive food (peanut butter, dried fruit, or bacon bits) on the pedal to draw rats in. Handle traps carefully when setting to avoid injury; use a gloved hand and keep fingers clear of the snap zone. Once a trap has caught a rat, wear gloves to remove and dispose of the trap according to local regulations.

• Apply a small dab of bait on the pedal—don't over-bait
• Set with a tool or gloved hand, keeping fingers away from the bar
• Dispose of used traps and carcass in sealed bag and trash per local rules
• Replace traps as needed; inspect for rust or loss of spring tension

What makes the Victor M201 different from other snap traps?

The M201 emphasizes durable metal construction and a compact footprint that fits in narrow runways. Its sensitivity lets it catch smaller rats as well as larger ones without the bulk of some commercial models. Being disposable provides a practical option for homeowners who prefer straightforward, mechanical control.

• All-metal body resists chewing and maintains tension
• Slim profile fits in tight travel paths where rats move
• Simple set-and-forget use until replaced
• Sold in a convenient 3-pack for multi-point coverage

Who is this for? The Woodstream Victor Metal Pedal Rat Trap M201 (pack of 3) suits homeowners, landlords, and small business owners seeking a non-chemical, cost-effective rodent control option. It's a good choice for those who need durable, compact traps that fit along walls and in confined spaces and who prefer mechanical solutions to poisons.
