Westinghouse Portable Inverter Generator iGen1500c — Blue, 1500 Peak Watts, 52 dBA

The Westinghouse iGen1500c is a compact, gas-powered inverter generator that delivers 1,500 peak watts and clean, quiet power for sensitive electronics and light home backup while weighing only 32 pounds.

Designed for portability and efficient fuel use, the iGen1500c combines inverter technology with economy-mode engine control so it only uses as much fuel as needed. With two 120V 20A outlets and dual USB ports, this generator supplies stable electricity (under 3% THD) for laptops, TVs, and small appliances. Its low 52 dBA operating level lets it run discreetly at campsites, tailgates, or during household outages.

How much power can this generator run and what electronics are safe?

The iGen1500c produces 1,500 peak watts and 1,000 continuous watts, suitable for essential loads and sensitive devices. Inverter output maintains low total harmonic distortion (less than 3%), making it safe for modern electronics that need clean sine wave-like power.

• 1500 starting watts / 1000 running watts for short motor starts and steady loads
• Less than 3% THD — safe for phones, laptops, TVs, and small appliances
• Two 120V 20A AC outlets plus two USB ports for simultaneous charging
• Not intended for large central HVAC systems or large electric motors

How long will it run and how fuel-efficient is it?

Equipped with a 0.79-gallon tank and Westinghouse’s economy mode, the iGen1500c can operate up to about 12 hours on a single fill when powering light loads. The inverter and automatic engine-speed adjustments reduce fuel consumption by matching engine output to the demand.

• 0.79 gallon fuel capacity for extended runtime
• Up to 12 hours of run time at low loads in economy mode
• Automatic engine speed control improves miles-per-gallon of fuel use
• Low-oil shutdown helps protect the engine and avoids damage

Is it easy to carry and operate in tight spaces or neighborhoods?

Weighing just 32 pounds and featuring an integrated carrying handle, the iGen1500c is designed for effortless transport and compact storage. Its noise level can be as low as 52 dBA, quieter than a normal conversation, making it suitable for campsites, RVs, and close-proximity home use where lower sound matters.

• Lightweight 32 lb design with built-in handle for one-person carry
• Operates as low as 52 dBA — neighborhood- and campsite-friendly
• Compact footprint for easy storage in sheds, trunks, or garages
• Clear control panel with parallel port for increased power when needed

Can I combine this with another generator or expect reliable support?

The iGen1500c supports parallel operation with compatible Westinghouse inverter units to double available wattage and ampacity when required. Westinghouse backs the generator with a 3-year limited warranty and lifetime technical support, and the unit includes built-in protections like overload and low-oil shutdown.

• Parallel-capable with Westinghouse parallel-ready inverter models (parallel cord required)
• Built-in overload protection to prevent damage from too-large loads
• Low-oil shutoff automatically protects the engine
• 3-year limited warranty and lifetime technical support from Westinghouse

Who is this for? The Westinghouse iGen1500c is a great match for campers, RV owners, tailgaters, and homeowners seeking a lightweight, quiet generator for powering essential electronics and small appliances. Choose this model if you need clean inverter power for sensitive devices, portability for frequent transport, or the option to parallel with another unit for larger demands. It’s best for situations requiring modest wattage, low noise, and long runtime on a small fuel tank.
