Weber Replacement Charcoal Grate for 18" Kettle Grills, 13.5" Heavy-Gauge Steel

Weber® Replacement Charcoal Cooking Grate for 18" Kettle Grills is a heavy-gauge steel grate that supports charcoal inside 18-inch Weber kettles for reliable, even heat during grilling.

This replacement charcoal grate is designed to deliver the same durable performance you expect from Weber accessories. Built from heavy-gauge steel to withstand high temperatures and the wear of repeated use, it sits beneath the cooking grate to hold charcoal in the correct position and maintain good airflow. Sized specifically for Weber 18" charcoal kettle grills, the grate measures 13.5 inches across so it fits snugly inside the bowl and supports consistent barbecue results.

How does this replacement grate restore my grill’s performance?

Replacing a warped or rusted charcoal grate helps your kettle grill reach even temperatures and improves air circulation under the cooking surface. This Weber grate reestablishes a stable bed for briquettes or lump charcoal so heat distributes more evenly and ash falls away from fuel.

• Heavy-gauge steel construction resists bending and warping under heat.
• 13.5" diameter engineered to fit the hearth of 18" Weber kettles.
• Lifts charcoal for better oxygen flow and consistent combustion.

Will it fit my 18" Weber charcoal kettle?

This part is made to match the internal dimensions of Weber 18" kettle grills. At 13.5 inches across, it sits inside the grill below the main cooking grate so you don’t need any modifications to use it.

• Designed specifically for Weber 18" charcoal kettles.
• Drop-in installation—no tools required for most grills.
• Removes and replaces the old grate with minimal effort.

What materials and durability can I expect?

The grate is manufactured from heavy-gauge steel to tolerate frequent heating cycles and the abrasive effects of charcoal and ash. While steel provides robust strength and longevity, routine cleaning and occasional inspection will extend its service life.

• Heavy-gauge steel for heat resistance and structural integrity.
• Simple shape with no moving parts to reduce failure points.
• Easier to clean than corroded or warped originals, improving longevity.

How do I install and maintain the replacement grate?

Installation is straightforward: remove the cooking grate and any remaining charcoal or ash, lift out the old charcoal grate, and settle the replacement into the bowl. To maintain it, brush away ash after each use and perform a quick inspection for excessive rust or deformation before long storage.

• Remove ash and cool coals before handling to avoid burns.
• Set the new grate onto the bowl ledge; no permanent fastening needed.
• Brush or scrape off ash after each use; store dry to minimize corrosion.

Who is this for: This Weber® replacement charcoal cooking grate is for owners of Weber 18" kettle grills who need a simple, durable spare part to restore proper fuel support and airflow. It’s ideal for backyard grillers, weekend barbecuers, and anyone refurbishing an older kettle who wants an OEM-quality component rather than a makeshift fix.
