WADEO Rain Barrel Diverter Kit Brown — Fits 2x3 & 3x4 Downspouts, Removable Debris Filter & Flow Control

The WADEO Rain Barrel Diverter Kit is a brown, durable downspout adapter with a built-in debris filter and adjustable flow control that fits 2"x3" or 3"x4" residential downspouts.

Collecting roof runoff for garden and landscape use is easier with a simple, reliable diverter. This WADEO kit installs inline with common rectangular downspouts, channels water into a barrel, and keeps leaves and twigs out with an easy-to-clean filter panel. Constructed from UV- and impact-resistant polypropylene, it’s designed for outdoor longevity while giving you manual control to divert, meter, or stop water flow as needed.

How does the diverter keep debris from entering my rain barrel?

The unit uses an integrated removable filter panel that traps leaves, twigs, and other solids before water reaches the barrel. The panel slides out for quick inspection and flushing, reducing the need to open the barrel or scoop out blockages.

• Built-in screening captures common roof debris at the source.
• Removable panel for fast cleaning without tools.
• Simplifies maintenance to preserve water quality and prevent clogs.

Will this diverter fit my downspout and how should I position it?

WADEO designed the diverter to match standard rectangular residential downspouts: it fits both 2"x3" and 3"x4" sizes. For reliable performance, mount the diverter roughly 18 inches above the top of your rain barrel so the harvested water can flow smoothly into the container.

• Compatible with common 2×3 and 3×4 downspout profiles.
• Recommended installation height: 18 inches above barrel rim.
• Works with most barrels when paired with appropriate hose or fitting.

What materials and durability features does this kit offer?

The diverter is molded from high-grade polypropylene (PP), chosen for outdoor resilience. Unlike standard PVC, PP offers improved UV stability, corrosion resistance, and impact toughness for years of exposed use without cracking or leaching.

• High-grade PP resists fading, cracking, and weathering.
• Corrosion-resistant for use in all-season conditions.
• Safe for outdoor water collection—no harmful additives released.

How do I control flow and prevent barrel overflow?

The kit includes a simple flow-control mechanism so you can meter incoming water or shut the feed off entirely once the barrel is full. This helps avoid messy spills and lets you manage collection for irrigation or other outdoor tasks.

• Adjustable valve to limit intake or stop flow when needed.
• Reduces risk of overflow and associated yard erosion or pooling.
• Easy to operate for seasonal or temporary shutoff.

Who is this for: The WADEO Rain Barrel Diverter Kit is ideal for homeowners, gardeners, and small-property stewards who want an efficient, low-maintenance way to collect rainwater from standard rectangular downspouts. It’s a practical choice if you need durable outdoor hardware with straightforward installation, reliable debris screening, and manual flow control for watering lawns, flower beds, or outdoor chores.
