How easy is installation and what tools do I need?

Installation is simple and usually requires only common hand tools, making it a quick DIY service task between seasons. The filter uses a standard 3/4 inch-16 thread, so removal and tightening match typical oil-filter wrenches or a firm hand for smaller filters. Follow your engine manual for torque guidance and proper oil-change steps to avoid leaks or cross-threading.

• Thread size: 3/4 inch-16 for standard filter wrenches or hand fitment.
• Micron rating: 27 micron media for general small-engine oil filtration.
• Package: two filters supplied so you can complete two services or keep a spare on hand.

What construction and performance features matter for longevity?

These filters are manufactured to meet strict quality controls with durable media and reliable sealing to reduce the risk of leaks. The build aims to balance filtration efficiency and flow to protect engine components while maintaining normal oil circulation. While not a product claim for engine life, quality filtering helps reduce abrasive wear when used with regular oil and maintenance.

• Durable casing and gasket designed to prevent leaks under normal operating conditions.
• 27-micron filtration media chosen for small-engine oil applications.
• OEM-style fit to preserve proper oil pressure and flow characteristics.

Who is this for: Homeowners, landscapers, and small-fleet operators who service Kohler-powered mowers and tractors will find this 2-pack useful. It’s suited to anyone who prefers keeping a spare on hand, performing regular oil changes, or replacing a worn filter with a like-for-like OEM-style part. If your mower or garden tractor uses the listed Kohler part numbers or the 3/4"-16 thread, this VKVXCLON pack delivers a budget-friendly, ready-to-install option for routine engine upkeep.
