VIVOSUN Peat Seed Starter Pots 3.15" — 30-Pack Biodegradable with Drainage Holes for Healthy Roots

VIVOSUN 3.15" Peat Pots are a 30-pack of biodegradable seed starter pots designed to simplify germination and transplanting by allowing you to plant the whole pot directly into soil.

These peat fiber pots give home gardeners and small-scale growers a low-waste, ready-to-plant option for starting seedlings. Built from compressed paper fibers that break down in the garden, each pot includes multiple drainage holes and a textured surface to support healthy root development and easy handling. They measure 3.15 inches across the rim and 2 inches at the base, making them suitable for a wide range of flowers, herbs, and vegetable seedlings.

How do these peat pots help seedlings develop strong roots?

The porous, fibrous walls encourage air pruning and proper drainage so roots don’t circle and become root-bound. Four drainage holes at the bottom prevent waterlogging and improve oxygen flow to the root zone, both critical for vigorous root systems.

• Biodegradable paper fiber construction promotes natural decomposition into soil.
• Four bottom drainage holes reduce excess moisture and root rot risk.
• Textured interior and exterior allow roots to grip and air-prune naturally.

Can I plant these pots directly into my garden or larger containers?

Yes — the pots are formulated to break down in soil, so you can transplant seedlings without extracting them from the container. Setting the whole pot into the ground avoids disturbing delicate roots and reduces transplant shock while it slowly integrates into the surrounding soil.

• Simply place the entire peat pot into prepared soil when seedlings are ready.
• No need to untangle root balls or risk damage during transplanting.
• The pot decomposes and provides organic nutrients as it breaks down.

What sizes and plant types are best suited to these 3.15" pots?

With a 3.15" outer diameter and a 2" base, these pots are ideal for many common garden starts and herbs. They accommodate plants that need a few weeks of indoor growth before moving outdoors, such as seedlings of lettuce, basil, marigolds, peppers, and similar plants.

• Fits seedlings for flowers, herbs, and many vegetables.
• Good mid-stage starter pot before final transplant into beds or larger containers.
• 30-pack gives flexibility for batch sowing or staggered planting.

How easy are these peat pots to handle and use during seeding and transplanting?

The textured paper fiber makes the pots easy to grip and squeezable if you need to remove a plant; otherwise, they can remain in the soil to avoid handling the roots. Lightweight and portable, they fit standard seed trays and grow racks for efficient use under lights or on windowsills.

• Textured surface prevents seedlings from sticking and simplifies removal if needed.
• Compact 3.15" rim works with most seed trays and propagation systems.
• Lightweight and stackable for easy storage and transport.
