The Cat Ladies Cat Grass Kit — Black Rustic Wooden Planter, Organic Seed Blend, Fast-Growing Indoor Grass to Reduce Hairballs

The Cat Ladies Cat Grass Kit is a ready-to-grow indoor planter containing organic wheat, oat, barley and rye seeds, soil disks, and a black rustic wooden planter for fast, pesticide-free cat grass.

Bring a safe, digestible green snack into your home with a compact planter designed for indoor cats. This kit combines a decorative black wood trough with a blend of 100% organic cat grass seeds and compressed soil discs so you can have fresh, fibrous grass in as little as a week. The blend is crafted to satisfy feline curiosity, encourage gentle chewing, and help redirect cats from houseplants without using chemicals or GMOs.

How quickly will the cat grass sprout and reach a chewable height?

Under typical indoor conditions the seeds germinate rapidly and can reach a chewable 3–4 inches within about 4–7 days. Germination speed depends on room temperature, light, and moisture; warmer, bright rooms encourage faster growth.

• Expect visible shoots in 2–4 days and 3–4 inches height within a week.
• Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged for best germination.
• A sunny windowsill or bright indirect light speeds growth; avoid hot direct afternoon sun.

What comes in the kit and how do I set it up?

The kit arrives ready to assemble with a decorative black wooden planter, compressed soil discs, and an organic grass seed mix plus simple printed instructions. Setup takes only a few minutes: moisten soil discs, spread soil in the planter, sprinkle seeds evenly, and pat lightly. No extra potting soil or fertilizers are required.

• Included: 10" x 5" x 4" black wood planter, 3 soil disks, organic seed blend, instruction insert.
• Simple steps: hydrate soil, fill planter, broadcast seeds, keep moist and covered until sprout.
• Tools: just a measuring cup or small pitcher for water; no green thumb needed.

Will this help protect my houseplants and reduce hairballs?

The grass provides a safe, fibrous option for cats that like to chew foliage, which can discourage them from nibbling toxic houseplants. Regular chewing of edible grasses can also help cats move swallowed hair through their digestive tract more naturally, which may reduce the frequency of hairball incidents.

• Fiber-rich seed blend offers a palatable, non-toxic chewing option.
• Deters cats from digging or chewing indoor decorative plants.
• Helps cats manage swallowed hair by promoting natural passage through digestion.

How do I maintain the planter and replace the grass once it’s spent?

Maintenance is straightforward: trim blades if they get too long, keep soil moist, and rotate fresh planting every few weeks as needed. When the grass is spent, empty the used soil, compost it if possible, and start a new round with the included seeds and a fresh soil disk or a store-bought potting mix.

• Trim with scissors to maintain chewable height and encourage new shoots.
• Replace soil and reseed after 3–6 weeks depending on use and condition.
• Planter care: wipe wood with a damp cloth; avoid prolonged soaking to protect finish.
