SUNPRO Plant Covers Freeze Protection Kit – 10 x 30 ft Frost Cloth with 6 Fiberglass Garden Hoops, 1 oz/yd² Breathable Row Cover

The SUNPRO kit is designed to create an easy-to-assemble, low-cost protective tunnel over raised beds and garden rows. The non-woven 1 oz/yd² fabric balances light transmission and breathability while keeping out frost, light hail and many pests. Included fiberglass hoops and a full set of clips, ground pegs and ties let you build a temporary or seasonal shelter sized to your layout.

How does this kit shield plants from cold weather?

The lightweight frost cloth blankets plants and traps a thin layer of warmer air, reducing exposure to freezing temperatures overnight. The fabric is breathable so moisture and light still reach plants, and the hoop supports prevent direct contact that can stress foliage.

• 1 oz/yd² non-woven fabric stays breathable while blocking frost
• 6 durable fiberglass hoops form an elevated tunnel shape
• Ground pegs and clips secure cover against wind
• Can be layered or trimmed to fit specific beds

What comes in the SUNPRO Plant Covers Freeze Protection Kit?

The kit supplies everything needed to create an instant row cover: a 10 x 30 ft frost cloth, six hoops sized to form a 7.5 ft wide by 3.2 ft high tunnel when all are used, plus fasteners and a user manual to speed installation.

• 10 x 30 ft 1 oz/yd² non-woven frost cloth (cut-to-fit)
• 6 fiberglass hoops (double-layer for strength)
• 18 clips, 10 ground pegs and 20 m twist tie for secure anchoring
• User manual for quick setup and layout tips

How durable and reusable are the hoops and fabric?

Hoops are made from double-layer fiberglass for flexibility and anti-oxidation resistance, designed to bend without breaking and resist seasonal wear. The thicker 1 oz/yd² fabric offers a balance of UV resistance and tear-strength so it can be reused across seasons if handled carefully.

• Fiberglass hoops resist rust and degrade slower than single-layer poles
• Heavier-than-average row cover fabric reduces tearing and UV damage
• Clips and pegs are reusable for multiple installations
• Trim fabric to extend life and fit different bed sizes

Can I use the kit beyond winter frost protection?

Yes — the SUNPRO cover is versatile for year-round garden needs. It also keeps out birds and insects, provides light shading in hot weather, and creates a protected microclimate for seedlings and germination.

• Use as insect netting in spring and summer
• Reduce sunburn and dust on sensitive plants in summer
• Extend the growing season for cool-season crops in fall and spring
• Mix with greenhouse film or shade cloth for custom protection
