Stingmon Outdoor Yellow Jacket & Wasp Traps 4-Pack — Disposable, Ready-to-Hang for Yards

Stingmon Outdoor Disposable Yellow Jacket & Wasp Traps are ready-to-hang, single-use bait traps designed to lure and contain wasps, yellow jackets, hornets and similar stinging insects outdoors.

These lightweight, bright-yellow disposable traps come in a convenient four-pack and require no cleaning after use — simply add bait, hang, and replace when full. Sized for yards, patios, barns or stables, each trap includes ties and a funnel-style entry that helps insects enter but makes escape difficult. Follow simple cutting and baiting steps to get them active in just a few hours.

How do I set up a Stingmon trap correctly?

Setting up a trap takes moments and uses basic household baits. Cut the indicated circle, open the trap, attach the included tie, add bait to the recommended level, and hang it well away from living areas.

• Cut along the dotted circle on the lid and pull up to create the entry funnel.
• Attach the supplied string or tie before adding liquid bait to avoid spills.
• Fill bait to no more than half the bag — sugar water, beer, wine or fruit vinegar work well.
• Hang 15–20 feet from doors and windows; allow 2–5 hours for attraction.

What baits attract different stinging insects?

Different species respond better to certain scents: sweet liquids draw many wasps and hornets, while protein-based baits attract yellow jackets. Adjust bait type to target the problem insect and place traps in sunny, visible spots for best results.

• Wasps and hornets: try honey, sugar water or fruit vinegar to entice them.
• Yellow jackets: beer, meat juices, or protein-rich liquids increase attraction.
• Carpenter bees: sweeter baits and placement near wood structures help capture them.
• For safety, hang traps at least 20 feet from living areas and children’s play zones.

How do I maintain and dispose of the disposable traps safely?

Maintenance is minimal: check traps periodically and replace them when full. Because these are single-use units, you avoid messy cleaning — seal and discard the used trap to prevent insect escape.

• Replace a trap once the insect level reaches capacity or bait is depleted.
• To discard, close the opening, place the trap inside a bag, tie off securely and throw it away.
• Never open a full trap; keep children and pets away during disposal.
• If using strong bait, hang traps 15–20 feet from living areas as a precaution.
