SpaGuard Filter Cleaner for Spas & Hot Tubs — 1 Quart Spray & Soak, Concentrated Formula to Remove Scale & Oils

SpaGuard Filter Cleaner is a concentrated 1-quart spray and soak solution that dissolves scale, oils, and trapped debris to restore spa filter flow and efficiency.

Built for cartridge filters used in hot tubs and spas, this formula targets mineral scale, body oils, grime, and metal deposits that restrict water flow and reduce filtration performance. The ready-to-use sprayer gives you the option of a fast on-the-spot rinse or a longer soak for heavily clogged elements, making routine filter maintenance faster and more effective.

How does SpaGuard Filter Cleaner restore water circulation?

By breaking down accumulated scale and organic residues that clog filter pleats, the cleaner reopens trapped pathways so water moves freely through the cartridge. Improved flow reduces strain on the pump and helps the filter capture fresh debris rather than bypassing it.

• Dissolves mineral scale and metal buildup from pleats
• Removes oils and body fats that blind filtration media
• Restores original flow rates to improve turnover

What are practical ways to use the 1-quart sprayer?

The bottle is designed for two common approaches: a quick spray-and-rinse for light maintenance, or a deep soak for filters with heavy scale or grease. The sprayer lets you treat creases and edges directly, then either rinse with fresh water or immerse the cartridge for an extended soak.

• Spray target areas, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse
• For deep cleaning, dilute or use full-strength and soak 1–4 hours
• Use regularly to lengthen filter life and cut maintenance time

Will this cleaner work on different types of spa filters?

SpaGuard Filter Cleaner is formulated to be effective on common cartridge filter materials used in most spas and hot tubs. It is suitable for routine maintenance of pleated filters but follow your manufacturer’s instructions for any specific material sensitivities or warranties.

• Effective on standard pleated cartridge filters
• Safe for repeated maintenance when used as directed
• Helps reduce frequency of deep chemical interventions

How does regular cleaning with this product reduce overall care?

Consistent removal of oils, scale, and particulates reduces the load on sanitizers and other water care chemicals, helping maintain clearer water with fewer corrective treatments. Clean filters trap contaminants more efficiently, so chemical levels stay more stable between planned maintenance cycles.

• Lengthens filter cycles and lowers chemical usage
• Protects spa surfaces and plumbing from scale buildup
• Helps maintain consistent water clarity and circulation

Who is this for: SpaGuard Filter Cleaner is meant for spa and hot tub owners, service professionals, and maintenance technicians who want a straightforward, dual-action cleaner—spray for quick touch-ups or soak for intensive filter renewal. If you own a cartridge-filtered spa and want to reduce pump strain, extend filter life, and simplify water care, this 1-quart spray bottle is a practical addition to your maintenance routine.
