Shitailu Suet Bird Feeders 2-Pack — Steel Hanging Suet Cages, Rust-Resistant Outdoor Feeders for Woodpeckers & Small Birds

Shitailu 2Pcs Suet Bird Feeders are compact, corrosion-resistant hanging cages that hold one standard suet cake each to attract woodpeckers, tits, nuthatches and other small wild birds while deterring squirrels.

These two steel suet feeders combine practical feeding with durable outdoor performance. Each cage is constructed from powder-coated steel to resist rust and wear, and the included hanging chains make it simple to position the feeders in trees, on poles, or beneath eaves. Their open-grid design provides easy access for clinging birds while limiting access for larger pests; they also accept small pieces of bread, fruit, or nesting materials for seasonal use.

How does this feeder keep squirrels from stealing the suet?

The grille-style cage creates a physical barrier that makes it difficult for larger animals to reach the suet cake inside, while allowing small birds to cling and feed. The steel mesh spacing balances accessibility for birds with protection from larger mammals.

• Sturdy steel bars reduce gap size to block squirrel paws
• Compact dimensions position cake away from easy reach
• Hanging placement discourages ground-based raids

What sizes and foods fit inside these garden cages?

Each feeder accepts one standard suet cake and also works with other small treats like chopped bread, orange halves, or nesting fibers. The 4.72 x 5.31 x 1.57 inch interior accommodates most commercial suet cakes and seasonal snacks for a variety of bird species.

• Designed for one standard suet cake per feeder
• Works with fruit halves, small bread pieces, and nesting material
• Open grid lets birds pull food through without dropping large pieces

How long will these feeders last outdoors?

The cages are made from steel with an anti-rust coating and an even finish to delay corrosion and surface aging. With routine checks and occasional cleaning, they are built for repeated seasonal use and long outdoor life.

• Powder-coated or anti-rust finish resists weathering
• Solid steel structure holds shape and resists bending
• Easy to clean — rinse off old food and dry before rehanging

Where should I hang them for the best bird visits?

Hang the feeders at a moderate height in a sheltered spot near trees or shrubs to offer perching and quick cover for wild birds. Place them away from bird baths or feeders you want to dedicate to seed, and vary positions to find the most active feeding location.

• Mount 5–8 feet high near branches for perching and cover
• Hang from limbs, shepherd hooks, or porch eaves using included chains
• Keep feeders visible to birds but out of easy reach of predators
