RepelFire Replacement Outer Trim Ring for Recessed Fire Sprinkler — Chrome 1-7/8" Inner, 2-15/16" OD, Heat-Resistant 1-Pack

This chrome RepelFire replacement outer trim ring restores a clean, professional finish to recessed fire sprinkler escutcheons without removing or adjusting the sprinkler head.

When a ceiling escutcheon gets scratched, discolored, or dented, replacing the visible outer trim ring is the fastest way to refresh the look while leaving the inner ring and sprinkler intact. This outer ring is sized to fit most standard recessed escutcheon inner rings — 1-7/8" inner opening, 2-15/16" outer diameter, and 1" depth — and is made from durable, heat-resistant material that resists warping and fading over time. Available in chrome (also offered in white), it ships as a 1-pack ideal for spot repairs, with larger pack sizes available for multi-unit projects.

How do I know this outer trim ring will fit my existing recessed escutcheon?

Measure the inside opening of your current inner ring before ordering. The RepelFire trim ring is made to slide over a 1-7/8" inner opening and sit flush against ceilings with a 2-15/16" outer diameter.

• Confirm inner ring opening measures 1-7/8" across.
• Check that the existing inner ring is present and undamaged.
• Ensure 1" depth clearance behind the ceiling surface for a flush fit.

What is the installation process and do I need special tools?

Installation is designed to be quick and tool-free: remove the damaged outer ring, clean the area, then slide the new ring over the sprinkler until it snaps into place. Do not loosen or touch the sprinkler head at any point.

• Gently pry off the old outer ring without disturbing the sprinkler.
• Wipe away dust or paint around the inner ring and ceiling edge.
• Press the replacement ring evenly until it seats flush and centered.
• Avoid painting the new trim or the sprinkler head after installation.

What materials and durability can I expect from this replacement ring?

The outer trim ring is crafted from heat-resistant materials chosen to hold shape and finish under normal ceiling temperatures and building conditions. It resists discoloration and maintains a polished appearance in both residential and commercial spaces.

• Heat-resistant construction preserves form and finish.
• Chrome finish resists tarnish and matches metal fixtures.
• Designed for repeated removal and replacement during maintenance.

When should I replace the full escutcheon assembly instead of just the outer ring?

Replace the entire escutcheon if the inner ring is cracked, missing, or warped; this product depends on a sound inner ring to secure the outer trim. If you have uncertainty about compatibility or safety, consult a qualified fire sprinkler technician before proceeding.

• Replace full assembly if inner ring is damaged or absent.
• Do not attempt to loosen or adjust the sprinkler head to fit the ring.
• Contact a licensed technician for questions about system safety or code compliance.
