QTengCX Outdoor Thermometer 12-Inch Wall Gauge — Waterproof Metal Frame, Hygrometer, Battery-Free

QTengCX 12-inch outdoor thermometer with built-in hygrometer is a battery-free, waterproof metal wall gauge that displays temperature from -40 to 140°F and humidity from 0 to 100% RH on a high-contrast analog dial.

Designed for patios, garages, greenhouses and indoor living spaces, this rugged 12" wall instrument combines an easy-to-read temperature scale with a humidity pointer in a sealed metal frame. The large black-and-white dial and simple pointer mechanism make it visible from a distance while requiring no batteries or electronic maintenance. Durable materials and a rust-resistant finish allow prolonged exposure to sun and rain while preserving accuracy of the analog indicators.

How accurate and wide-ranging are the readings?

The thermometer measures a broad temperature span from -40 to 140°F and the hygrometer indicates relative humidity across the full 0–100% range. Readings rely on tried-and-true mechanical sensing rather than electronics, making them stable and consistent under normal outdoor conditions.

• Temperature range: -40 to 140°F for extreme climates
• Humidity range: 0–100% RH for full environmental monitoring
• Analog pointer display avoids calibration drift common to cheap digital units

Can I mount it outdoors and leave it there year-round?

Yes — the thermometer is built with a waterproof metal frame and weather-resistant components so it can remain mounted on a porch, fence, shed or garage wall. The sealed design resists rain and sun exposure, reducing corrosion and mechanical wear.

• Waterproof metal housing protects internal mechanisms
• Rust-resistant finish suitable for long-term outdoor hanging
• Wall-hanging bracket provides secure, easy installation

Is it easy to read from across the yard and where should I place it?

The large 12" dial uses a black-and-white high-contrast scale so numbers and pointers are visible from a distance, making it practical for courtyards or porches. For best performance, mount it where it’s shaded from direct sun and away from heat sources for truer air temperature readings.

• 12-inch dial for improved readability at a glance
• High-contrast markings increase visibility in daylight
• Recommend shaded, ventilated location for accurate ambient readings

What maintenance does the thermometer require?

No batteries or electrical upkeep are needed thanks to the mechanical pointer system. Occasional cleaning of the face and checking the wall bracket are sufficient to keep the unit functioning and looking good.

• Battery-free operation — no replacements or charging
• Wipe the dial and case with a soft cloth to remove debris
• Inspect mounting bracket periodically for secure attachment

Who is this for: homeowners, gardeners and hobbyists who want a reliable, low-maintenance way to monitor outdoor temperature and humidity. It's ideal for people who prefer analog displays over digital electronics, need a visible weather gauge for patios or garages, or want a durable instrument to hang in a greenhouse or yard. If you want a simple, long-lasting thermometer/hygrometer combo without the hassle of batteries or frequent calibration, the QTengCX 12" metal wall gauge offers practical performance and clear, immediate readings.
