What sizes and measurements does this replacement cartridge use?

The cartridge dimensions are made to line up with the referenced OEM parts: 10 1/2 inches long, 8 1/2 inches outer diameter and a 3-inch inner diameter. With approximately 65 square feet of pleated filtration area, it offers a large media surface for capturing contaminants while maintaining flow. These dimensions ensure compatibility with housings designed for the listed part numbers.

• Length: 10.5 inches
• Outer diameter: 8.5 inches
• Inner diameter: 3 inches
• Filtration area: ~65 sq. ft.

How does Poolzilla’s filter media perform compared to standard cartridges?

Poolzilla cartridges use tightly pleated fabric and a Dirt-Trap style design that increases surface area and catches more debris than simple round fabric cartridges. The pleats help hold leaves, hair, sediment and fine particles while preserving water flow. Regular rinsing is all that’s required to restore performance between deeper cleanings.

• Dirt-Trap pleated media for improved capture
• Removes leaves, sediment, hair and visible particulates
• Easy cold-water rinsing for routine maintenance
• Maintains pump flow even as debris accumulates

How long will this replacement last and how do I maintain it?

With proper care, expect around 1–2 years of service life depending on use, water chemistry and local debris levels. Routine maintenance includes rinsing the cartridge with a hose to remove surface debris and performing a periodic deep clean with a filter cleaner. Inspect the pleats and endcaps for damage; replace the cartridge if pleats tear or structural components degrade.

• Typical service life: 1–2 years with normal use
• Rinse with a hose after each heavy-soil event
• Deep-clean with filter cleaner every few months
• Replace if pleats, seal or endcaps show damage
