Pinwheel Crafts Stepping Stone Kit for Kids — 5 Mosaic Stones & Storybook, 6" Cement Stones with Waterproof Paints

Pinwheel Crafts Stepping Stone Kit for Kids is a complete paint-and-display set that lets children design five durable 6" mosaic garden stones while following a whimsical storybook adventure. This kit combines hands-on crafting with storytelling to turn a simple art project into a memorable outdoor keepsake. Inside the box you’ll find five pre-formed cement stones, waterproof paints in bright colors, ten brushes, a kindness marker, a protective mat, and "The Magic Garden Path" storybook that ties each stone to a character and a short tale. Everything is included so families, classrooms, or small groups can start painting right away without hunting for extra supplies.

How does this set keep kids engaged from start to finish?

The included storybook connects each stepping stone design to a character and mini-adventure, giving children a reason to personalize their stones and continue the narrative as they paint. The variety of colors and multiple brushes supports cooperative play and longer creative sessions.

• Five different stone themes (bee, rainbow, butterfly, sunflower, mushroom) inspire varied color choices.
• Ten brushes let multiple kids work simultaneously or allow detailed and broad strokes.
• The kindness marker encourages positive messages and a creative writing element.

Will finished stones withstand outdoor weather and seasonal changes?

The stepping stones are made from sturdy cement and paired with waterproof paints designed to resist fading and moisture, so decorations remain visible in gardens, patios, or walkways. While long-term exposure to extreme freeze-thaw cycles can affect any outdoor piece, these stones are built to last as decorative yard accents through normal seasonal use.

• High-quality cement bases for robust, weight-bearing display.
• Premium waterproof paint to protect color against rain and sunlight.
• Seal and place on a stable surface to maximize outdoor longevity.

What supplies are included and do I need anything else?

The kit arrives ready to use with every essential item to paint five mosaic stones and protect your work area. No additional paints, brushes, or clean-up materials are required for completing the project, making it an ideal gift or activity for parents, teachers, and caregivers looking for a low-prep art experience.

• Five 6" cement stepping stones pre-shaped with mosaic-friendly surfaces.
• Multiple vibrant waterproof paint pots and ten painting brushes.
• Protective mat to keep surfaces clean and a kindness marker for messages.

How does this activity support skill-building for children?

Painting the stones encourages focus, patience, and the development of fine motor skills as kids plan designs, mix colors, and apply paint carefully. The guided storybook element also fosters reading comprehension and imaginative play, linking a tactile craft to language skills and emotional learning.

• Fine motor practice through brush control and detailed painting.
• Patience and persistence by completing multi-step art projects.
• Language and empathy growth via storytelling and the kindness marker.
