Picatu 2in x 50 ft Backwash Hose — 2in PVC Lay-Flat Pool Drain Hose with Aluminum Pin-Lug Fittings, 90 PSI

Picatu 2" x 50 ft backwash hose is a heavy-duty, lay-flat PVC discharge line built with reinforced layers and aluminum pin-lug fittings for reliable pool pump and filter backwashing.

This durable pool drain hose is designed for fast, leak-resistant water discharge from above-ground and inground pool systems, and it doubles as a versatile utility hose for irrigation, construction, and general drainage. Built from a three-layer PVC body with a polyester-reinforced core and corrosion-resistant metal connectors, the hose balances flexibility with tear resistance so it lays flat for tidy storage yet withstands the pull and pressure of standard pool pumping equipment.

How does this hose connect to my pump and filter?

The Picatu backwash hose comes fitted with a 2" aluminum male pin lug and a 2" female pin lug with a brass swivel nut, installed with stainless-steel punch-lock clamps for a secure, rust-resistant join. Threads and lug fittings match common pool pump and filter outlets so you can screw it on or lock it in place without adapters in most setups.

• Standard 2" ID sizing fits most pool backwash ports
• Aluminum male and female pin lug connectors included
• Brass swivel nut on female side for tight, leak-resistant fit
• Stainless-steel clamps secure fittings to resist corrosion

Will this hose hold up under regular backwashing and outdoor use?

Yes — the hose uses a three-layer PVC construction with a polyester yarn reinforcement in the center layer to resist tearing, kinking and internal pressure up to 90 PSI. The materials are selected to withstand abrasion, UV exposure and wet storage, giving longer service life compared with single-layer lay-flat hoses.

• 3-layer PVC body for durability and flexibility
• Reinforced core prevents leaks and twisting during use
• 90 PSI operating pressure rating for pump compatibility
• Wear-resistant exterior reduces abrasion from rough surfaces

How long is it and how easy is it to store and handle?

This hose measures 50 feet by 2 inches internal diameter, a balance of length for most backyard drainage needs while remaining manageable to coil and stow. Its lay-flat design collapses when drained, saving space and simplifying seasonal storage compared to rigid discharge lines.

• 50 ft length provides extended reach to appropriate drainage points
• Lay-flat profile collapses for compact storage
• Lightweight PVC construction makes carrying easier
• Flexible enough to route around landscaping or obstacles

Can I use the Picatu backwash hose beyond pool maintenance?

Absolutely — this hose is suitable for a variety of drainage tasks beyond pool backwashing, including agricultural irrigation, temporary construction dewatering and factory or workshop drainage. Its robust fittings and reinforced body make it a practical temporary or seasonal solution wherever water needs to be moved safely away from a site.

• Works with above-ground and inground pools
• Useful for farm irrigation or temporary runoff diversion
• Suitable for construction site drainage or sump discharge
• Can be used for general-purpose water transfer tasks

Who is this for? The Picatu 2" x 50 ft backwash hose is ideal for pool owners, service technicians and contractors looking for a dependable, easy-to-store discharge hose with metal lugs and reinforced PVC construction.
