PhatroyYee Solar Bug Zapper — Outdoor/Indoor Mosquito Zapper, 4500V Waterproof, 12‑Hour Runtime

PhatroyYee Solar Bug Zapper is a dual-charge, weatherproof insect trap that uses 365–395nm attraction light and a 4500V electrified grid to reduce mosquitoes, flies and moths for up to 12 hours per charge.

This compact outdoor/indoor unit blends solar and USB charging, a dusk-to-dawn light sensor, and projector-style illumination so you can run it hands-free on patios, campsites, garages, kitchens or RVs. It’s built to be hung, staked or placed on a flat surface; the package includes a hook, a steel support rod and a 3m extension cable for flexible solar-panel placement. Safety features, an included cleaning brush and an IPx4 rating make this model practical for regular outdoor use.

How does this zapper attract and eliminate insects?

The device uses a high-intensity LED light in the 365–395nm range that draws phototactic insects from the surrounding area. Once insects approach, a 4500V electrified grid quickly interrupts them, avoiding sticky traps or pesticides. The combination of wavelength-specific light and high-voltage grid is designed for broad-spectrum reduction of mosquitoes, gnats, fruit flies, houseflies and moths.

• 365–395nm attraction wavelength optimized for flying pests
• 4500V high-voltage grid for immediate elimination
• Covers up to about 1/2 acre under ideal conditions

What power and charging options are available, and how long does it run?

PhatroyYee offers both solar-panel charging and USB fast-charge to keep the unit running in different situations. Solar charging takes about 10 hours in strong sunlight, while USB charging fully charges the battery in roughly 4 hours. On a full charge the zapper can provide up to 12 hours of continuous operation.

• Solar panel plus 10ft/3m extension cable for flexible placement
• USB port for 4-hour fast charge when sun isn’t available
• Up to 12 hours runtime per full charge in AUTO mode

Can it operate automatically and is it safe for families and pets?

Yes — a built-in light sensor lets the unit switch between charging by day and insect-control at night, with an optional manual 24-hour mode. Safety is built into the housing with a protective outer net and an anti-leakage design to reduce accidental contact. The product also includes a brush for clearing dead insects from the collection area without touching the electrified grid.

• Auto dusk-to-dawn sensor for hands-off night operation
• Protective safety net and anti-leakage system for kids and pets
• Included cleaning brush for easy maintenance

Is this unit suited for outdoor conditions and different placements?

With an IPx4 waterproof rating the zapper tolerates rain and splashes, making it suitable for patios, porches and campsites. The package supports multiple installation styles — hang it by the hook, stake it with the included steel rod, or place the solar panel where it gets maximum sun while the main unit hangs nearby. The projector-style light also serves as a gentle ambient lamp for evening gatherings.

• IPx4 splash-resistant housing for outdoor use
• Hook, steel stake and 3m extension cord for flexible mounting
• Projector light function doubles as an ambient outdoor light
