Othilic Boho Scalloped Outdoor Rug 28x43 — Machine-Washable Low-Profile Mat with Slip-Resistant Backing

The Othilic Boho Scalloped Outdoor Rug is a low-profile, machine-washable 28"×43" entrance mat with a scalloped boho design and slip-resistant rubber backing.

This front door mat blends the textured look of natural jute with a soft, flat-weave chenille surface so you get rustic, layered style without the stiffness or shedding of real fiber rugs. At 0.15" thickness it easily slides under most doors and is built from durable synthetic yarns to withstand daily foot traffic while remaining simple to clean. It’s designed for covered porches, indoor entryways, kitchens, or bedrooms where you want a welcoming aesthetic and reliable grip underfoot.

How does the scalloped design change the look of my entryway?

The scalloped edge and layered rectangular frame pattern add visual depth and a handcrafted appearance that pairs well with boho, farmhouse, or modern neutral décor. The printed linen-style texture replicates woven fibers for a relaxed, natural vibe without the upkeep of real jute. This design softens hard thresholds and frames your doorway for a composed, curated first impression.

• Scalloped border creates a soft, artisanal silhouette
• Layered rectangle pattern adds dimension without pile
• Linen-style print mimics natural fiber aesthetics

Will this rug stand up to high-traffic areas and pets?

The mat is made from resilient synthetic fibers and a flat-weave chenille face that resists matting and traps less debris than plush rugs. The ultra-thin profile prevents snagging under doors, and the textured surface hides light dirt between cleanings. A non-slip rubber backing keeps the rug stable on dry floors, reducing shifting in busy households.

• Durable synthetic construction for daily use
• Flat-weave chenille resists deep dirt entrapment
• Super non-slip rubber backing for improved safety

How do I clean and maintain the mat for long-lasting color?

Routine care is simple: sweep, shake, or vacuum to remove surface dirt and pet hair. When deeper cleaning is needed, the rug is machine washable on a cold, gentle cycle with mild, non-bleach detergent — then air dry flat or line dry in shade. To protect color and fibers, use the mat in covered outdoor spaces and avoid prolonged direct sun exposure.

• Vacuum or shake out loose debris regularly
• Machine wash cold on gentle cycle; air dry
• Avoid direct, sustained sunlight for best color retention

What should I do if the rug arrives creased from shipping?

Small creases are normal after being folded for transit and usually relax within a day or two once unrolled. For faster results, roll it the opposite way, steam gently with a handheld steamer, or iron on low through a thick, damp towel. These simple steps help the rug lie flat quickly without damaging the printed surface.

• Unroll and let lay flat for 24–48 hours
• Roll opposite the fold to release creases faster
• Use a handheld steamer or low iron with a damp towel if needed
