Orbit 3/4-inch FPT 25 PSI Pressure Regulator for Irrigation — Professional, 5 GPM

The Orbit 67743 pressure regulator lowers incoming water pressure to a steady 25 PSI, delivering consistent low-pressure flow ideal for drip and sprinkler irrigation.

Designed for outdoor irrigation systems that need reliable, reduced pressure, this regulator prevents over-pressurization that can damage micro-irrigation components or cause uneven spray patterns. Constructed for cold-water use, the unit supports typical residential and light-commercial setups and is compatible with many common controllers and valves. It is offered in multiple thread configurations to suit different hose and pipe connections and preserves usable flow while cutting pressure to a safe level.

How does this regulator improve drip and sprinkler performance?

By capping line pressure at 25 PSI, the regulator ensures emitters, drip tubing, and low-pressure heads operate within their optimal range. This reduces misting, protects delicate parts, and helps maintain even distribution across zones.

• Stabilizes pressure for consistent emitter output
• Prevents excessive pressure that can burst tubing or deteriorate seals
• Improves uniformity for better watering coverage

What flow and connection limits should I expect?

The regulator trims pressure while allowing flow up to 5 gallons per minute, suitable for many small zones or feeder lines. It comes in 3/4" female threads and professional variants so you can match the unit to hose or pipe fittings without adapters.

• Maintains up to 5 GPM of usable flow
• Available in 3/4" FPT and 3/4" FHT versions
• Professional models designed for installer-friendly connections

Is the regulator compatible with smart controllers and valves?

This Orbit regulator works with controllers and valves from Orbit and many other leading manufacturers, so it easily integrates into existing systems. Using it with a water-saving smart controller can further optimize irrigation schedules and reduce waste.

• Compatible with common controller and valve brands
• Pairs well with B-hyve smart controllers for enhanced conservation
• Simple inline installation ahead of zone valves or drip manifolds

Should I use a filter with this regulator?

For supplies that contain sediment or particulates, a combination filter/regulator is recommended to prevent clogging of downstream emitters. Orbit offers integrated filter-regulator options that trap debris before it reaches sensitive drip components.

• Use a 3-in-1 filter/regulator for dirty or untreated water sources
• Helps extend emitter and valve life by removing particles
• Regular maintenance of the filter ensures steady performance

Who this product is for: The Orbit 67743 25 PSI regulator is intended for homeowners, landscapers, and irrigation professionals installing or tuning drip lines, low-pressure sprinkler heads, and small irrigation zones. It suits systems that need a dependable pressure reduction without sacrificing flow, especially when paired with smart controllers or used where sediment is minimal or a pre-filter is installed.
