Not Rocket Sciences 32oz Midnight Blue Pond Dye 4X Concentrate — Deep Natural Blue, Long-Lasting Shade

Not Rocket Sciences 32oz Midnight Blue Pond Dye is a 4X concentrated blue water colorant that quickly tints lakes and ponds a deep natural blue and provides sunlight shading without harming fish or wildlife.

Transform murky or green-tinged water into an attractive deep-blue pond with a single, easy-to-use concentrate. This 32oz bottle contains a concentrated formula that treats multiple acres by providing a rich, long-lasting blue hue and reduced sunlight penetration. Use it seasonally or monthly to maintain color and visual clarity while supporting a balanced pond environment.

How concentrated is this pond dye and how much will it cover?

This formula is four times more concentrated than many competing products, so a little goes a long way. One quart of this concentrate equals one gallon of ordinary dyes, and one gallon treats up to four acres at typical depths.

• 32oz (1 quart) equals one gallon equivalence of many brands
• 1 quart treats approximately 1 acre at 4–6 feet depth
• 1 gallon treats about 4 acres at 4–6 feet depth
• Dosage: 1–2 quarts per surface acre monthly, adjust as needed

Will using this dye affect fish, birds, livestock, or plant life?

The Not Rocket Sciences formula is designed for aesthetic shading and does not introduce toxins when used as directed. It tints the water to reduce light penetration without altering oxygen levels or adding harmful chemicals, making it suitable for ponds supporting wildlife and fish.

• Safe for fish, birds, and livestock when applied correctly
• No special mixing required—pour directly at the edge
• Helps limit algae growth indirectly by shading sunlight

How long does the blue color persist and how often should I reapply?

The dye provides a durable color that lasts through weeks to months depending on inflow, rainfall, and sun exposure. Regular maintenance—typically monthly applications during active seasons—keeps a consistent deep-blue appearance.

• Long-lasting tint under normal conditions
• Reapply 1–2 quarts per acre monthly or after heavy dilution
• Effective year-round regardless of water temperature

How easy is it to use and store the product?

Application is straightforward—no pre-mixing or special equipment required. Simply pour the concentrate around the pond perimeter for even distribution, and store the sealed bottle out of direct sunlight and freezing conditions.

• No mixing required; apply directly from bottle
• Pour along shoreline for best dispersion
• Store in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures
