Northwood Sauna Sauna Aromatherapy Stone Cup — Natural Granite with Stainless Steel Bowl, Handcrafted Compact Diffuser

The Northwood Sauna Aromatherapy Stone Cup is a ready-to-use natural granite diffuser that holds essential oils in a removable stainless steel bowl to gently scent your sauna without installation.

This compact, handcrafted sauna accessory combines rugged igneous granite with a hygienic stainless steel inlay to deliver long-lasting, subtle fragrance in sauna rooms. Designed in a Nordic aesthetic, the stone cup nestles among sauna heater rocks and releases aroma as steam and heat interact with the oils. It requires no wiring, batteries, or mounting — simply add a few drops of your chosen essential oil and place it in the heater stones for immediate aromatherapy.

How do I use the stone cup in my sauna?

Using the stone cup is straightforward: set it among the heater stones and add essential oil to the stainless steel bowl. The heat from the sauna encourages gradual evaporation so fragrance disperses naturally across sessions.

• Place the granite cup among existing heater stones, stable and level.
• Add 5–10 drops of essential oil to the removable stainless steel bowl.
• Top up oils between sessions as scent intensity fades.
• Remove the bowl for cleaning to prevent residue buildup.

Will the granite and steel tolerate high sauna temperatures?

The cup is built from durable natural granite and a corrosion-resistant stainless steel insert, both materials selected to endure typical sauna heat cycles. They resist cracking and rust when used as directed with standard sauna temperatures.

• Natural igneous granite withstands thermal stress from sauna conditions.
• Removable stainless steel bowl resists oxidation and is easy to wash.
• Avoid pouring water directly into the steel bowl—use only essential oils.
• Inspect annually for chips or unusual wear from exceptionally high heat.

How do I clean and maintain the aroma stone cup?

Maintenance is minimal: lift out the stainless steel inlay and wash it with warm water and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Wipe the outer granite with a damp cloth; avoid strong chemicals or abrasive scrubbing to keep the natural finish intact.

• Remove steel bowl and rinse after several uses or when oils build up.
• Air-dry both pieces completely before returning to the heater stones.
• Do not use harsh solvents on the granite to preserve appearance.
• Store in packaging when not in use to protect from chips.

What scents and oils work best with this sauna diffuser?

The stone cup is compatible with most pure essential oils and blends formulated for steam rooms and saunas. Choose lightweight, steam-friendly oils like eucalyptus, pine, citrus, or menthol blends for a clear, refreshing aroma; start with small quantities to gauge intensity.

• Try eucalyptus or birch for traditional Nordic-style scents.
• Citrus or herbal blends offer a fresher, uplifting atmosphere.
• Avoid thick carrier oils—use pure essential oils only.
• Begin with 5 drops and increase if a stronger fragrance is desired.
