NEXON Pruning Shears 2-Pack — 8" Bypass Pruner & 6.25" Precision Snips, SK5 Steel Non-Stick Blades

These two complementary shears are designed to handle everyday garden tasks without swapping tools. The larger bypass pruner tackles thicker green wood and small branches, while the compact precision scissors make deadheading, harvesting, and shaping delicate plants easy. Durable SK5 steel and a Teflon-like non-stick finish reduce rust and sap build-up so you spend less time cleaning and more time tending your plants.

How do these shears give cleaner cuts than generic garden scissors?

The NEXON set uses SK5 high-carbon steel blades that are heat-treated for edge retention and finished with a non-stick coating to resist sap and moisture. The bypass cutting action slices stems against a counter blade rather than crushing them, which supports healthy healing on living plants.

• Sharp SK5 steel stays keen through frequent use.
• Non-stick finish wipes free of sap and residue quickly.
• Bypass design produces smooth, precise cuts for faster plant recovery.

Which tasks are each tool best suited for in my garden?

The 8" bypass pruner is built for pruning green stems and branches up to about 3/4" in diameter, making it useful for shrubs, small fruit trees, and trimming back perennials. The 6.25" precision snips are ideal for detailed work like deadheading roses, harvesting herbs, and pruning bonsai where accuracy matters.

• 8" pruner: thicker stems, shaping shrubs, light wood removal.
• 6.25" snips: flowers, herbs, bonsai, tight spots.
• Both: durable for everyday seasonal gardening chores.

Are these shears comfortable and safe to use for long sessions?

Each shear weighs under eight ounces and features ergonomic, non-slip grips to reduce hand fatigue during extended pruning. An automatic spring assists blade opening to lower strain, and a secure safety lock keeps blades closed for safe storage and transport.

• Lightweight construction for reduced wrist strain.
• Ergonomic grips provide a firm, comfortable hold.
• Spring-return and blade lock enhance safety and usability.

How do I maintain these pruners for long life?

Maintenance is straightforward: wipe blades clean after sap exposure, apply light oil occasionally, and keep the safety lock engaged when not in use. The non-stick coating reduces buildup, so routine cleaning takes seconds and helps preserve blade sharpness.

• Wipe sap off with a damp cloth after use.
• Light oil on pivot and blade edges periodically.
• Store locked and dry to prevent corrosion; one-year warranty included.
