MUZHI Terracotta Rectangle Bonsai Planter 8.5" – Unglazed Breathable Clay Pot with Saucer & Tool (Red-Brown)

MUZHI's 8.5-inch unglazed terracotta rectangle bonsai planter is a breathable clay pot with a matching saucer, mesh pad and garden tool—made to display small trees, succulents and cacti indoors or on patios.

This classic rectangle planter blends simple, earthy design with practical features for healthy potted plants. Crafted from unglazed terracotta, the MUZHI pot allows natural airflow and moisture exchange through its clay walls. The set arrives ready to use: a saucer to catch drainage, a mesh pad to keep soil in place, and a small garden tool for planting and maintenance. Its red-brown finish and minimalist silhouette suit modern interiors and outdoor terraces alike.

How does the terracotta material help my plants?

Unglazed terracotta is naturally porous, which encourages soil aeration and helps excess moisture evaporate. That reduces the risk of overwatering by allowing roots to breathe, which many indoor and drought-tolerant plants appreciate.

• Porous clay walls promote evaporation and airflow around roots
• Helps prevent waterlogged soil for succulents and cacti
• Natural mineral composition moderates temperature swings

What are the dimensions and what fits inside this planter?

The MUZHI rectangle planter measures approximately 8.5 inches long by 6.7 inches wide, with a matching saucer sized 8.4 by 6.2 inches. This footprint fits small bonsai, compact succulents, cactus ensembles, or a grouping of cuttings and herbs.

• Planter: 8.5" (L) × 6.7" (W) — ideal for shallow-rooted plants
• Saucer: 8.4" × 6.2" to catch excess drainage and protect surfaces
• Includes mesh pad to prevent soil loss through drainage holes

What comes in the package and how do I set it up?

The set includes the rectangle terracotta planter, a coordinating saucer, a practical mesh pad and a small garden tool. Setting it up is straightforward: place the mesh pad over the drainage hole, add coarse substrate or gravel if desired, fill with potting mix, and plant—then use the saucer to protect your tabletop.

• 1 planter (8.5" × 6.7") plus 1 saucer (8.4" × 6.2")
• 1 mesh pad keeps soil in place while allowing drainage
• 1 garden tool for planting, teasing roots and topping soil

Can I use this pot both inside and outside?

Yes—this terracotta planter suits indoor and outdoor use, from living rooms and windowsills to patios and sheltered balconies. Avoid prolonged exposure to freezing conditions, which can damage unglazed clay, and move the pot under cover during heavy storms to preserve its finish.

• Ideal for indoor displays, succulent arrangements, and small bonsai
• Outdoor use recommended in temperate, sheltered locations
• Bring indoors or protect during freezing weather to extend life
