Mr. Fireglass 1/4" High Luster Fire Glass - 10 lb Reflective Cobalt Blue, Tempered Sparkle

Mr. Fireglass 10 lb High Luster Fire Glass in 1/4 inch reflective cobalt blue is premium tempered glass designed to upgrade gas and propane fire pits with long-lasting color and intense day-and-night sparkle.

This 10-pound bag of finely tumbled, tempered fire glass delivers a vibrant cobalt-blue color that resists fading and thermal stress. Each piece is cut to a uniform 1/4" size and polished to a mirrored finish so it reflects sunlight during the day and amplifies flame light at night. The result is a cleaner, more decorative alternative to lava rock or ceramic media for outdoor fire features, indoor gas fireplaces, water features, and decorative containers.

How will this fire glass change the look of my fire pit?

Replacing standard rock with reflective cobalt-blue glass immediately shifts the visual focus of a fire pit to color and light. The mirrored surfaces catch daylight for vivid color saturation and, when the fire is lit, they bounce flame glow for a shimmering, jewel-like effect.

• Uniform 1/4" pieces create an even, polished surface
• High-luster finish increases reflected light
• Cobalt-blue hue provides a deep, consistent color
• Compatible with gas and propane systems

Is this safe and easy to maintain with my gas or propane burner?

Yes — this tempered fire glass is manufactured for high-heat environments, producing no ash or soot and requiring minimal upkeep. Cleaning is straightforward: rinse with a vinegar-and-water solution to remove film or deposits, then dry completely before returning to the burner.

• Non-porous glass won’t trap residue like lava rock
• No smoke, soot, or ash when used properly
• Simple rinse-and-dry maintenance keeps brilliance
• Stable under repeated heating and cooling cycles

Can I use this glass outside of a fire pit?

Absolutely — its reflective finish and color make it a versatile decorative material. Use it to accent water features, fill clear vases, top planters, or as a visual layer in aquariums (ensure aquarium-safe preparation first).

• Brightens water features and fountain basins
• Adds color to terrariums or decorative bowls
• Works as an ornamental top layer in landscaping containers
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor decorative uses (follow specific use guidelines)

How much glass do I need for my project?

A 10 lb bag is ideal for small fire pits, centerpiece bowls, or partial top-dressing. For standard round fire pits, multiple bags may be required to achieve a full, even coverage; depth and pit diameter determine total weight.

• 10 lb bag covers a shallow layer in small bowls and modular pits
• Estimate 20–40 lb for medium home fire pits depending on depth
• Use more bags for complete coverage or thicker layers
• Layering over a fire-ring improves visual density and color impact
