Miracle-Gro Azalea, Camellia & Rhododendron Water-Soluble Plant Food, 5 lb — Feeds Acid-Loving Plants, 7–14 Day

Designed for plants that prefer acidic soil, this water-soluble formula supplies essential nutrients in an easily absorbed form. The 5 lb. container covers roughly 2,000 sq. ft., making it practical for both container-grown houseplants and larger outdoor beds. It dissolves readily in a watering can or the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder so you can give consistent feedings during active growth periods.

How do I mix and apply this fertilizer for indoor pots?

For indoor use the instructions are simple and measured so you won’t overfeed. Use a small watering can and dissolve the product at the recommended rate to ensure plants receive balanced nutrients without burn.

• Mix 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water for indoor plants.
• Water the potting mix thoroughly with the solution until it drains from the drainage holes.
• Apply every 7–14 days when plants are actively growing; reduce feeding in dormancy.

What’s the right way to feed outdoor beds and containers?

Outdoor shrubs and container displays benefit from a slightly stronger solution and a regular feeding cadence during the growing season. The product works with either a watering can or the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder for larger areas.

• For outdoor plants mix 1 1/2 tablespoons per 1 1/2 gallons of water.
• Fill the Garden Feeder jar to the top of the label for larger garden use.
• Apply every 7–14 days while foliage and blooms are developing.

Which plants are best suited to this acid-loving formula?

This fertilizer is tailored for a wide range of acid-preferring ornamentals and tropicals commonly used in landscapes and homes. It’s formulated so the nutrient profile matches the needs of these species without requiring soil pH modification for each application.

• Azaleas, camellias and rhododendrons.
• Gardenias, hollies and hydrangeas.
• Hibiscus and many orchids in containers.

Will this harm non-acid-loving plants or burn foliage if misapplied?

When used according to the directions, the product is safe for the intended acid-loving plants and won’t burn foliage. Avoid over-concentrating mixes and do not exceed the recommended frequency to prevent stress on plants.

• Follow label rates for indoor versus outdoor applications.
• Do not use stronger mixes than indicated; rinse foliage if contact occurs.
• Store dry and sealed to preserve effectiveness.
