KÄRCHER Pressure Washer K 1 Compact — 1700 PSI, Lightweight Portable Cleaner

The Kärcher K 1 Compact Pressure Washer is a lightweight, easy-to-store electric cleaner delivering 1700 PSI and adjustable spray for light-duty outdoor cleaning.

If you need a compact machine to refresh patio furniture, rinse bikes, or remove grime from small decks and walkways, the K 1 is built for quick, occasional jobs where portability and simple operation matter. Equipped with TruPressure performance, an integrated detergent tank, and the Vario Power spray lance, this model balances useful pressure with user-friendly controls and a very small footprint.

How powerful is the K 1 for common home tasks?

The K 1 produces up to 1700 PSI and 1.45 GPM, enough to tackle dirt, mildew, and light stains on non-delicate surfaces. It’s designed for maintenance cleaning rather than heavy-duty commercial stripping or paint removal.

• 1700 PSI TruPressure for routine outdoor dirt and grime
• 1.45 max GPM for efficient rinsing without excess water use
• Built-in detergent tank for improved cleaning on stained areas
• Vario Power spray lance adjusts pressure without swapping nozzles

How easy is it to move, store, and set up?

Weighing about 9.8 lbs and designed with compact dimensions, the K 1 is simple to carry and tucks neatly into small storage spaces. Setup is straightforward: connect the 10 ft pressure hose, attach the high-pressure gun, and plug into a standard outlet.

• Lightweight 9.8 lb chassis for easy transport
• Integrated accessory storage keeps hose and lance organized
• Quick hose and gun attachments streamline setup
• Standard plug-in electric power—no fuel or oil required

What cleaning controls and consumables does it use?

The Vario Power spray lance offers variable pressure by twisting the wand, so you can switch from a gentle rinse to a stronger spray without changing nozzles. The built-in siphon hose allows you to draw in detergent from a bottle for boosted cleaning performance on tougher spots.

• Vario Power lance for continuous pressure adjustment
• Onboard detergent suction for foam and intensive cleaning
• Compatible with household pressure-washer detergents (follow label instructions)
• Recommended for routine use on patios, fences, bikes, and vehicles

What maintenance and durability should I expect?

The K 1 focuses on low-maintenance reliability: simple electric motor, few moving parts, and replaceable pressure hose components if needed. Routine rinsing of the detergent path and proper winter storage will extend service life.

• Electric motor reduces routine mechanical maintenance
• Flush detergent lines after use to prevent buildup
• Store indoors or in a frost-free location during winter
• Replaceable pressure hose and lance parts available from Kärcher

Who is this for: The Kärcher K 1 is ideal for homeowners, renters, and apartment dwellers who want a highly portable, affordable electric pressure washer for light cleaning tasks. If you frequently need a compact tool to keep patios, outdoor furniture, bicycles, small decks, and garden paths presentable without heavy-duty industrial power, the K 1 covers those needs with easy storage and simple controls.
