Insoma Sprinkler Timer with Remote Control — 1-Outlet Hose Timer, 120-Min Run Time, IP55 Weatherproof

The Insoma Sprinkler Timer with Remote is a single-outlet hose irrigation controller that automates watering schedules, offers remote on/off control to 164 ft, and supports run times up to 120 minutes.

Designed for homeowners, balcony gardeners, and small-acreage landscapes, this compact irrigation timer connects to a standard garden hose to deliver precise watering without constant supervision. It combines a waterproof, clog-resistant valve body with programmable watering options and a battery-protected fail-safe so you can set schedules, pause remotely, and protect plants from overwatering when batteries drain.

How do I set watering schedules with this timer?

Programming is straightforward: select one of six preset periods or enter a custom run window from 1 minute up to 120 minutes per cycle. You can use the manual mode for single-run watering or schedule repeated cycles across selected days. The dial and clear controls let you configure timing without needing a smartphone.

• Six programmable watering periods for tailored irrigation
• Manual mode supports 1 minute to 24-hour cycle flexibility
• Simple dial controls for quick setup without apps
• Auto shutoff prevents overwatering when battery power is low

Can I control the timer from inside the house?

Yes — the included RF remote operates the timer up to roughly 164 ft (50 m) line-of-sight, so you can start, pause, or stop watering from your patio or living room. The remote is battery-powered (12V battery included) and can control multiple compatible units, making it useful for multi-zone setups. Remote pause also acts as an instant-off for leaks or sudden rain.

• Radio-frequency remote reaches up to 164 ft for convenient control
• One-touch pause stops water flow quickly (approx. 0.3 seconds)
• Remote supports multiple timers for zoned irrigation
• Included remote battery reduces initial setup steps

Is the Insoma timer durable and reliable outdoors?

The timer uses an IP55-rated housing with an extra sealing ring on the battery cover to resist splashes and light rain. Inside, a built-in metal filter guards the valve against sediment and grit, helping extend operational life and reduce clogs. The design is rated to withstand typical garden water pressures and outdoor conditions.

• IP55 water resistance with added sealing ring for battery cover
• Metal filter prevents large particles from entering the valve
• Compatible with common hose fittings and standard pressures
• 360° rotatable interface for flexible mounting and alignment

What hoses, fittings, and power does it require?

The timer connects via a quick 1/2-inch connector and threads to standard 3/4" or 1/2" garden hoses. It tolerates typical residential water pressures (roughly 7.25–116 psi). The valve uses two 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included); when battery power runs low the valve closes automatically so plants aren't overwatered.

• 1/2" quick connector fits standard 3/4" or 1/2" hoses
• Works across a wide pressure range: approximately 7.25–116 psi
• Device powered by two 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included)
• Remote powered by included 12V dry battery for immediate use

Who is this for: The Insoma Sprinkler Timer is a practical choice for apartment gardeners, homeowners with small lawns, greenhouse growers, and anyone managing drip lines, soaker hoses, or single-zone sprinkler runs who wants reliable remote control and simple programming. If you need multi-zone central controllers for large commercial sites, consider multi-outlet controllers; for single-zone automation, this Insoma unit offers an easy, weather-resistant solution that reduces manual watering without complicated setup.
