Hutdkte Carburetor & Fuel Tank Kit for 3-5.5 HP Vertical Engines - 795477/498809 Complete Repair Kit

Hutdkte's kit combines a 795477 carburetor and 498809 fuel tank with gaskets, springs, primer bulbs, and a spark plug to restore fuel delivery for compatible 3–5.5 HP vertical engines. This complete replacement kit is designed to bring older small engines back to reliable operation by replacing worn or damaged fuel-system parts with a matched set. It bundles the 795477 carburetor and 498809 fuel tank plus the common consumables technicians usually change during a service, saving time and ensuring parts compatibility across many 9xxx and 10xxx series vertical engines.

Which engines and part numbers does this Hutdkte kit fit?

The kit supports a wide range of 9xxx and 10xxx series vertical engines used in light equipment; its parts list maps to numerous OEM part numbers and assemblies. Check the model list and your engine’s stamped code to confirm fit before ordering.

• Compatible with 9B900–9M900, 9S500, 9T500, 9T700, 9T800 and many 10E900–10F900 series engines.
• Fits numerous 10A902-style assemblies and the listed 10A902-xxxx part variants in the product description.
• Replaces OEM numbers including 498809, 498809A, 499809, and 497619.
• Intended for vertical shaft engines rated 3 HP to 5.5 HP (models like 09J000, 09L000, 09S000, 09T000).

What’s included in the package and why those pieces matter?

The kit arrives ready for a routine carburetor and fuel-tank service: hardware and consumables you would normally replace during a rebuild are included. This reduces downtime and prevents mismatched parts or extra trips to the parts store.

• One 795477 carburetor matched to small vertical engines for correct fuel metering.
• One 498809 fuel tank sized and drilled for direct replacement.
• Two gaskets, three springs (698719, 691859, 692211), one air filter (698369), two primer bulbs, and one spark plug for a full service refresh.
• All parts chosen to match OEM interfaces and simplify installation.

How difficult is installation and what tools or skills are needed?

Installation is a moderate DIY task for anyone comfortable with basic small-engine maintenance; it requires simple hand tools and careful attention to fuel and ignition safety. If you are unfamiliar with carburetor adjustment or fuel-line routing, a short service manual or a technician’s help is recommended.

• Basic tools: screwdrivers, sockets, pliers, and possibly a torque wrench for critical fasteners.
• Safety steps: drain fuel, disconnect spark plug, and work in a ventilated area.
• Final steps: check for leaks, primer-bulb operation, and proper idle/run after assembly.
• Optional: carburetor sync or idle mixture tuning if engine runs rough after replacement.

Will this kit improve engine performance or fix common fuel problems?

Replacing a clogged carburetor or cracked fuel tank with this kit can clear symptoms such as hard starting, poor idling, or fuel leaks caused by degraded components. While the kit supplies the key mechanical replacements, performance depends on correct installation and adjustment; it does not include guaranteed tuning beyond factory specifications.

• Eliminates leaks from aged tanks and brittle fuel hoses by replacing the tank and primer bulbs.
• Resolves fuel-delivery issues linked to blocked jets or worn carburetor components by providing a new carburetor.
• Refreshes air and spark components with the included air filter and spark plug for cleaner combustion.

Who is this for? This Hutdkte assembly is aimed at owners, fleet managers, and repair technicians who service small vertical engines on mowers, generators, pressure washers, and similar equipment. It’s most useful when you need a coordinated set of parts to complete a carburetor and fuel-system refresh, avoid mismatched components, and reduce service time during routine maintenance or restoration projects.
