HOBYLUBY 35" Tall Hummingbird Solar Rain Gauge - 35in Decorative Garden Stake with 5" Glass Tube & LED Lighting

The HOBYLUBY 35" Tall Hummingbird Solar Rain Gauge is an ornamental garden stake that measures rainfall with a glass tube and lights up at night using a built-in solar panel.

This eye-catching rain gauge combines function with garden décor: a 35-inch metal stake shaped with leaves, flowers, and hummingbirds holds a 5-inch glass measuring tube while a solar panel charges internal LEDs so the stake glows after dark. Designed for simple assembly and no-wiring operation, it records precipitation amounts and adds a colorful accent to flower beds, lawns, and pathways.

How easy is the HOBYLUBY rain gauge to set up and use?

Assembly is straightforward and requires only a few steps: join the metal stake sections, insert the glass tube, and push the stake into the ground. The solar panel needs direct sunlight to charge, and an on/off switch must be turned on before initial charging.

• Screw together the stake segments—no tools required.
• Place the 5-inch glass measuring tube into its holder securely.
• Adjust solar panel to face the sun for best charging performance.
• Turn the power switch on to allow automatic night illumination.

What weather data does the glass tube provide and how accurate is it?

The included glass tube collects and shows recent rainfall amounts so you can monitor precipitation in your yard. While ideal for general week-to-week tracking and gardening needs, it’s not a substitute for professional meteorological instruments.

• 5-inch graduated glass tube displays collected rain volume.
• Suitable for everyday garden and home-use rainfall observations.
• Best used on level ground away from roof overhangs and splashing.
• Check tube placement to avoid tilt for more reliable readings.

How does the solar lighting work and what should I expect at night?

The stake contains a light-sensing solar panel that charges during daylight and powers LED filaments wrapped around the metal frame. Once charged, the LEDs automatically illuminate after dusk, creating a decorative glow that highlights the hummingbird and floral design.

• Solar panel captures sunlight—no external wiring needed.
• LED filaments wrap the metal frame for colorful nighttime display.
• Automatic on/off by light sensor; ensure direct sun exposure for best runtime.
• Turn the switch on before first charge to enable automatic lighting.
