Happy Wings nyjer (thistle) Finch Food 2-Pack 26 oz Prefilled No-Grow Socks — High-Oil, Ready-to-Hang

Happy Wings 26Oz Thistle (Nyjer) Bird Food arrives ready-to-hang: two prefilled finch socks of premium no-grow nyjer seed for simple, mess-free feeding that attracts finches and other small songbirds.

Keep your backyard full of lively finches without the fuss of measuring, spilling, or unintended plants. This pack contains two 13-ounce mesh finch socks filled with oil-rich nyjer (thistle) seed processed in USDA and BRC-GS approved facilities. The seed is no-grow treated to prevent sprouting in your yard, and each pound holds an impressive seed count for extended feeding. The socks include a drawstring and lock so you can hang them instantly from branches or feeders.

What makes Happy Wings nyjer seed different from standard bird seed?

Happy Wings nyjer is a single-grain offering focused on high oil content and nutrition preferred by finches and small songbirds. The processing and packaging emphasize seed longevity, cleanliness, and ease of use. Because it’s no-grow treated, you won’t get volunteer plants sprouting beneath feeding stations.

• High oil content that appeals to finches and enhances energy for active birds
• Processed in USDA & BRC-GS approved facilities for consistent quality
• Packaged as prefilled socks to reduce handling and mess
• No-grow seed minimizes unwanted yard growth under feeders

How do I use the prefilled finch sock in my yard?

Using the prefilled sock is straightforward: open the outer packet, secure the drawstring, and hang the mesh sock where finches can perch. The mesh material allows birds to cling and pick seeds easily while slowing seed loss. You can move socks between locations to test where birds feed most often.

• Open pack, tighten drawstring, hang from a hook or tree branch
• Place near shrubs or feeders to offer a visible food source for finches
• Hang at different heights to find preferred feeding spots
• Swap socks between yards or feeding stations for flexible coverage

How long will one sock last and how many birds will it attract?

Duration depends on local bird activity, season, and competing food sources; each 13-ounce sock contains a concentrated amount of nyjer that lasts longer than many blended mixes. Nyjer’s small seed size also means high seed count per ounce, so many small-billed birds can feed from the same sock. Keep spare socks on hand to refill or replace quickly.

• 13-ounce sock provides many feedings for finch flocks over days to weeks
• High seed-per-pound count stretches feeding time
• Two-sock pack covers multiple feeding spots or acts as backup
• Replace socks as they empty to maintain consistent feeding

Is nyjer seed safe and clean for backyard use?

Happy Wings nyjer is cleaned and processed to reduce debris and extend shelf life. The no-grow treatment prevents germination of spilled seed, helping keep planting and maintenance simple. The mesh sock design further contains seed and reduces scatter compared with loose seed on trays.

• Processed for cleanliness and low debris
• No-grow treatment prevents volunteer plants from sprouting
• Mesh socks help limit seed scatter and ground waste
• Packaged to hang directly—no funnels or refills required
