Habitech tree tie strap 250' olive green 5/8-inch webbing, 1,800 lb strength, weather-resistant

Habitech's 250-foot tree tie strap is a soft, 5/8" woven webbing designed to safely support and anchor trees with a 1,800 lb breaking strength.

Built for landscapers, gardeners, and homeowners, this roll of olive-green webbing combines high tensile capacity with a gentle, non-abrasive surface so you can secure saplings, brace mature trees, or fashion durable garden ties without harming bark. Weather-resistant and mildew-resistant, the material holds up season after season and can be cut to the exact length you need for dozens of outdoor and utility tasks.

How does this strap protect young trees without damaging bark?

The strap is 5/8" wide with rounded, soft edges and a flat woven construction that distributes pressure across a broader surface than cord or wire. That reduces chafing and prevents constriction while still allowing firm anchoring. Use it directly against trunks or branches without additional padding for most applications.

• Wide, 5/8" webbing reduces pressure points
• Soft weave and rounded edges protect bark
• Cut-to-length convenience for custom fits
• Olive color blends into landscapes

Can this strap handle large trees and heavy loads?

Yes — the Habitech webbing is rated at 1,800 lb (816 kg) tensile strength, strong enough to brace and guy medium to large trees when used with appropriate stakes or anchors. It resists rot and moisture, so the strength is maintained in outdoor conditions. For very large specimen trees consult a certified arborist for correct anchoring methods.

• 1,800 lb tensile strength for secure anchoring
• Durable, weather-resistant fiber retains strength
• Works with duckbill anchors, stakes, and posts
• Ideal for wind, snow, and storm support tasks

What are the practical uses beyond staking trees?

This flat, non-abrasive webbing is extremely versatile around the garden and outdoors. From trellis construction to bundling gear, it replaces rope and wire in situations where surface protection matters. It’s also handy for temporary repairs, securing tarps, and even soft tie-downs for delicate equipment like surfboards.

• Create trellises, plant supports, and garden ties
• Fasten tarps, tents, or camping gear without scratches
• Use as a soft tie for surfboards and delicate cargo
• Cut pieces for limb bracing, branch support, and more

How easy is it to use and install?

The webbing fastens quickly with simple knots or by securing to stakes, posts, and anchors; it holds arbor knots securely without sliding. Because it’s supplied on a long 250' roll, you can cut multiple lengths for varied tasks and splice or knot as needed. No special hardware is required for most typical garden and landscaping uses.

• Fastens easily with common knots or nails
• Holds arbor knots without slipping
• 250-foot roll provides many individual ties
• Cut-to-size convenience for custom projects
