Gtongoko Finch Tube Feeder - Copper All-Metal Mesh, 2.5 lb Capacity, Weather-Resistant

The Gtongoko Copper Finch Feeder is a durable, all-metal mesh tube feeder designed to hold up to 2.5 pounds of Nyjer or thistle seed, providing a weather-resistant feeding station that helps small clinging birds visit your yard.

This hanging tube feeder combines a fine 0.24-inch metal mesh with a 6-inch metal lid and round seed tray to give goldfinches, house finches and other small wild birds a comfortable place to cling and feed. Built with sturdy metal components and drainage holes, the feeder aims to simplify refills and cleaning while keeping seeds drier and more accessible to small beaked birds.

How does the feeder make refilling and cleaning easier?

The feeder is designed with everyday practicality in mind: a wide top opening and removable metal lid speed up refills, and a detachable seed tray comes off for quick rinses. No tools are required, which saves time and encourages regular maintenance so seeds stay fresh.

• 2.5 lb capacity reduces how often you refill
• Removable lid and seed tray for easy access
• Wide opening fits common Nyjer seed bags
• Simple assembly/disassembly for rinsing

Why is the 0.24-inch mesh helpful for finches?

The fine metal mesh allows small clinging birds to grip comfortably while feeding, and the openings are sized to work well with Nyjer and other tiny seeds. This helps attract species that prefer to cling while they peck, rather than land on a large perch.

• 0.24" openings suit Nyjer/thistle seeds
• Fine mesh supports small feet and beaks
• Promotes natural clinging behavior of finches
• Mesh minimizes wasted seed spillage

Can the feeder withstand weather and squirrel activity?

The feeder’s all-metal build—mesh body, lid and tray—adds durability against outdoor elements and reduces vulnerability to gnawing. A metal hanging ring offers secure suspension, and the lid with multiple drainage holes helps limit water buildup that can spoil seed.

• All-metal construction resists wear and bite damage
• 6-inch weather-resistant lid shields seeds from rain and snow
• Seed tray drainage holes keep seed drier after storms
• Closed metal hanging ring delivers stable hanging support

How will this feeder change my backyard bird-watching?

By offering an attractive feeding surface for clinging species, the feeder can increase visits from goldfinches, house finches and similar small birds. Its capacity and design make it easier to maintain, so your yard stays a reliable food source across seasons.

• Specifically attracts clinging finch species
• Large capacity supports more frequent bird visits
• Cleaner seed means longer-lasting feeding days between maintenance
• Hanging design fits branches, shepherd hooks, and porches

Who is this for: The Gtongoko Copper Finch Feeder is ideal for backyard birdwatchers who want a low-maintenance, all-metal tube feeder that handles Nyjer and thistle seeds. It suits homeowners who prefer a weather-resistant, durable option that encourages clinging birds to visit regularly—especially those who want an easy-to-refill feeder with fewer seed changes and simpler cleaning. If you need a sturdy hanging feed station to support small finch species and reduce seed spoilage, this feeder offers a practical balance of capacity, accessibility, and metal construction.
